Right In Front Of Me...

Chapter 6

I was sat in my office, typing away on the computer, when Sal gently knocked the office door. He leaned against the door frame, smiling at me. I just clicked enter then spun around on my chair to face him.
"Hello" i said to him with a smile.
"Hey Em. You ready for lunch?" He asked me.
"Yep, let me just get my bag" i said. Sat opposite me was my best friend and co worker, Tanya.
"Hello Tanya" Sal said to her, as i walked back in with my bag. I stood next to Sal about to say goodbye when Tanya interrupted.
"You two would make a cute couple" she said, immediately making us both blush.
"Oh shut up" I playfully said to make her stop embarrassing us.
"Ill see ya later" Tanya replied.

As me and Sal were walking out, we reached the stairs. Sal was basically running down, whilst I was on the second step. I had these new shoes on, kinda like heels- which Tanya got me for Christmas last year. I couldn't walk dow the steps that fast. Sal was about to talk to me,until he realised i wasn't near him. He turned around and saw me at the top.
"What on earth are you doing up here??" He asked.
"I cant walk fast down the stairs without holding onto the railings" i explained, causing Sal to light giggle. Sal ran back up to the top of the stairs, next to me and offered out his hand. I smiled and grabbed hold of his hand as he walk me down the stairs. As soon as we were outside the building i began to slow my pace.
"Where's the car?" I asked Sal.
"I thought as its only a few blocks away we could walk. Give us quality time" Sal explained. I whined. "Whats wrong with that?" Sal asked, thinking i was moaning at the idea.
"Nothing...except i can not wear these shoes anymore. They are slowly killing my feet"i whined, taking the shoes off.
"You cant walk in them at all?" Sal asked.
"Not unless you would like to see me cry" i replied with a a laugh.
"Take them off then" Sal said. I took them off and placed them on the ground beside me. Sal came up and picked me up bridal style.
"What are you doing" I asked with a laugh.
"If you cant walk, then I'll carry ya" Sal answered, beginning to walk. I wrapped my hands tightly around his shoulders as he took us to the restaurant.

Little did we know, the other guys (Q,Joe and Murr) were going to lunch in the same restaurant. They looked outside the restaurant window to see Sal carrying me and they all laughed, but me and Sal didnt see them.
"Here we are!"Sal said as he gently placed me on the ground.
