I ran across the street back to my house. I threw the door wide open to see Scarlett, Connor and Sal sat down on he sofa. I smiled at the sight of my family together. I placed my leather bag on the hooks in the hallway, then strolled over to Sal.
"Hiya Em" he began with a smile.
"Sal, I have great news. Tanya and Graham have had their baby. It's a little girl" I announced.
"Aww that's great. I'm happy for them" Sal said with a smile. Connor was fast asleep on Sal's chest.
"What did you two get up to today?" I asked as I took a seat beside Scarlett.
"Well after we dropped Scarlett off, I had a phone call saying we had to film a punishment so me and Connor spent the whole day on set" Sal told me.
"Sounds fun" I said with a smile.
"What have you been doing?" Sal asked me.
"Just work. But tonight I have to make a presentation ready for a meeting tomorrow" I told him. "I'd rather do work from home, where I can be with you, rather than in work" I said to Sal with a laugh.****
It was around 9pm, and both Connor and Scarlett were fast asleep. I was busy typing away creating the presentation for Jim, when I heard tapping coming from outside. I ignored it the first few times, but I soon got up and followed the trail of the sounds. I opened up the door slightly to see the most beautiful sight. Therefore I fully opened the garden door.Sal was stood there with a smile. Surrounding him was fairy lights hanging from trees. In the centre was a table with two chairs and candles on top. I slowly walked over to Sal.
"What's all this?" I asked with a smile.
"You said how we haven't spent a lot of time together recently, so here we are" he told me with a grin. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he pulled me closer to him. He planted a kiss on my lips, as we enjoyed the rest of our perfect evening together.
