Right In Front Of Me...

Chapter 95

It was Joe.
"Hey bud, would you mind coming into set. We have to film Q's punishment" Joe explained.
"But I have Connor with me" Sal argued.
"Casey can watch him. It will be an hour max" Joe told me.
"Alright, I'm on my way" Sal replied.

When Sal got to set he passed Connor over to Casey, so that Sal could continue to film. They filmed the punishment and he constantly was worried over how Connor was doing. I suppose that's how me and Sal always are now, constantly stressing over the kids.

Meanwhile, I was sat at my desk doing the work that was put forward for me. I was enjoying this new role, and I felt like I had quite a lot of ideas to put forward. I looked up and saw Jim walking past my office, smiling at me. I waved back and he smiled to himself. I saw that the time was soon creeping up to five o clock. I noticed the time getting on, so I grabbed my things and went home.

However, on my way home I noticed Jim sat on the kerb with his head in his hands. I didn't have the heart to keep driving, therefore I pulled over and sat beside him.
"Are you okay?" I asked, as I placed my hand on his shoulder. He jumped at the touch but soon settled down.
"Not really" he muttered.
"What's wrong?" I asked him.
"It's the owners of this place. They want a huge conference meeting and I have to lead it" Jim sheepishly said.
"But I thought that's what you want to do. Run meetings and stuff like that" I said.
"I do... but the owners of this place have the power to fire us all, shut the place down, to fire me!" Jim pointed out. I realised he was stress.
"Maybe I could help out. I'll make a presentation tonight and you could edit it tomorrow??" I asked.
"I can't ask you to do that" Jim said. I gave him a reassuring nod to let him know it was okay. "Thanks Emily" he said as he wrapped his arms around me.

When I pulled up onto the street, the blue flashing lights of an ambulance caught my eye. My curiosity grew as I saw an ambulance parked outside of Graham and Tanya's house. I parked the car and ran over. Just as I got there, the ambulance left, but I soon knocked the door. Graham opened the door revealing a large smile.
"What's happened? Is everyone okay??" I asked.
"Everyone's fine. Me, Tanya.. and baby Katie!" Graham revealed.
