"We've missed you too" I said, as Sal drifted from the hug.
"I suppose~" he began until my phone rung.
"Let me get this" I said as I noticed it was Jim.
"Oh..okay" Sal said as he took Scarlett from my arms."Hey Jim" i answered.
"Hi Emily. I'm dropping down to Staten Island for a business meeting this afternoon, and I was wondering if you wanted to grab lunch, and talk over a few business points. That's if your still interested?" Jim asked.
"Of course! I suppose I'll see you later" I said.
"Yep. I'll pick you up at 1" Jim ended. I smiled and strolled back over to Sal and Scarlett."So what I was going to say was I suppose you and Scarlett would enjoy my company for lunch later on" Sal smirked.
"Today? I can't" I answered.
"Oh. Why?" Sal asked, fairly surprised.
"I have a lunch to go to... with Jim" I announced. Sal's eyebrows furrowed as his eyes squinted as he attempted to work out who Jim was.
"Jim?" He spoke.
"Yeah. I...I have been offered a perfect new job. Jim is my potential partner" I told Sal, as we began to leave the airport.
"Emily! That's amazing!!!" Sal congratulated me. "But... you don't seem too thrilled" he pointed out.
"I am... its just" i stuttered. "The job is in Brooklyn" I sighed.
"Right" Sal tutted, understanding why I was hesitating.
"I mean... I shouldn't take it. I'll tell Jim-" I begun.
"Wait.. if you and Jim have each other's numbers... how long have you been thinking about this?" Sal asked.
"Since you left for tour" I admitted.
"Why didn't you say?" Sal asked.
"Because the only way I could work there is if we moved!" I pointed out.
"Well we obviously can't move" Sal smirked.
"Why? So you can have your work. I would love to be able to work on a job I've always wanted since I was 14. I have finally been offered the chance... and I have to say no to my dream- to let you live yours!" I sighed to Sal. Emphasising my point.
"I know you've always wanted this... but we live here. My work is here, my family and friends, your family and friends, our daughter and our second child's home is here! We can't just leave all that behind!" Sal argued.
"So what can I do?" I said. "Should I just go on my own, and live out my dream??"
