Sals POV
When me and Jess arrived at the restaurant, we sat down on our table and ordered our food. We were having light conversation, but i couldn't help but think about Emily. I was debating wether to ask her out or not. I felt really bad, because I wasn't interested in dating Jess- but i dont think shes that bothered about dating me.
"Who is she?" Jess asked me, randomly.
"What?" I asked her.
"Who's the girl? Im either really boring or your interested in someone else" Jess joked.
"Her names Emily" i revealed.
"The best friend right?" She answered.
"Yeah.. how do you know?" I asked her, with a puzzled look across my face.
"Murray rang me a few minutes before the date and told me things were complicated and for me to not get in the way" Jess explained.
"Complicated?" I asked.
"Yeah, apparently this Emily gal rang Murr and said something which made Murr ring me and to try to stop this date going any further than just friends" she explained.
"Wait.. so Emily was on the phone to Murray and then Murr told you to not to get in the way?" I asked. Jess nodded at me, tucking into her food. "Which means Emily said something to Murray" i whispered. "but what was it?" I mumbled to myself.
"Al I can say.. is ask her out" Jess advised me.After our date, i dropped Jess home and went back to my place. I unlocked the door and threw my keys on the table. I placed my jacket on the hooks and made my way into the kitchen. I was welcomed by a note reading 'sal- hope your date went well, from Emily xx'
I smiled at the note and placed it on the counter. I was really tired so i dropped a quick text to Emily saying
Sal: hey Em, can i speak to ya tomorrow xxxThen I went to bed. Who knows what tomorrow has in store...
