Right In Front Of Me...

Chapter 74

"I...I" I stuttered, not knowing how to answer his question.
"Em?" He asked, urging me for an answer.
Suddenly Q walked through the door
"Sal!! I've been looking for you everywhere!" Q exaggerated.
"I'll leave you both to talk" I said as I ran out of the room back into the garden. I sat beside Bessy.
"Are you alright Emily?" She asked with a hunt of concern in her voice.
"I'm fine" I lied. Just as I looked up I saw Tanya and Graham walking hand in hand through the door.
"Great" I muttered.

Tanya and Graham have dated over a year now, and I knew deep down it was finally time to forgive her. If I could forgive Sal- I should be able to forgive Tanya. Everyone deserves a second chance. I stood up and slowly approached them both. Graham knew I had odd feelings towards her, but he always urged me to be nice to her.
"Hey Tanya" I began. "Would you like anything to drink?" I asked her.
"I'm okay thanks. But I would like... to be friends again?" She asked. I nodded and gave her a quick hug. Graham mouthed "thank you" to me as me and Tanya walked back over to Bessy.
"Hi Bessy" Tanya said to her, Bessy smiled back.
"Emily, are you sure your okay?" Bessy repeated.
"Not really" I sighed. "Sal, has just told me that he wants another baby" I said.
"That's amazing news!!" Tanya Sal's, and Bessy smiled.
"You don't seem too thrilled?!" Bessy questioned.
"It's just~" I began.
"Look, you two are so happy together. You've known each other since you were kids! You have had a happy marriage, with a few ups and downs, but you have shown how strong you are together. Your daughter is turning one, and you both have proved what amazing parents you are!! So what do you even have to think about?!" Tanya explained. I suppose she was right.
'I have always wanted another child, and now I know Sal does.. what am I doubting myself?!'  I thought to myself.

I walked back into the kitchen, expecting Sal to be there, but it was only Q.
"Where's Sal?" I asked Q.
"Upstairs with Scarlett" Q explained.

I slowly walked upstairs, each step creaking as I took another step forward. I saw Scarlett's door crackled open slowly. I looked in and saw Sal gently rocking her back and forth with a smile on his face. I smiled softly to myself and walked in. Sal smiled at me then slowly placed Scarlett in her crib.
I walked up to Sal with a smile, as I wrapped my hands around his neck.
"I thought about what you've said..." I began with a smile.
"And??..." Sal asked, desperately wanting to know the answer.
"Yes!" I said. "I would love to have another baby with you!!" I squealed with excitement, as he placed a tender kiss onto my lips.
