In the afternoon we got ready and headed out with Scarlett and Connor. Sal quickly stopped outside the office so I could pop in and grab some files.
I raced up the stores and bursted into my office. I swiped them from my desk and accidentally bumped into Jim.
"Woah! You okay?" Jim asked with a chuckle.
"Yep, just came to grab these" I said as I held up the files. "Actually whilst I'm here... I just want to thank you" I said.
"For what?" Jim asked with a smile.
"Just for being a great boss~" I begun.
"Technically your the boss now" Jim corrected me with a laugh.
"Yeah but you gave me an opportunity here.... one I never thought I'd ever get. And now I'm the manager and own the business! And thank you for just being the most perfect friend to me!" I said with a smile. I gave him a warm hug, as I felt him smile.
"You deserve all of this success. You worked for it. And I'll always be your friend" Jim smiled.

After that we headed up to the beach. On the journey we belted out to old classic songs. Connor and Scarlett found it very funny but for me and Sal it was a throwback to when we were younger.
When we got to the beach, Sal laid out the towel for us all to lay on. Connor sat in my lap, whilst Scarlett and Sal built a sandcastle. We all shared an ice cream and enjoyed our family day out together. We were all laughing and having so much fun; it was unimaginable to think of my life without them...
