The next morning I woke up alone on the floor. I sat up and rubbed my eyes, with confusion in my mind. 'Where's Sal?' I asked myself. Suddenly Scarlett ran into my room.
"Mummy" she called as she threw herself on me.
"Morning sweetie. Do you know where daddy is?" I asked. She shook her head. I got up and held her hand as we went downstairs. Sal was in the living room painting the walls.
"Sal, you didn't have to do this" I said with a smile.
"I thought I'd make an early start on trying to make his look like a home" Sal replied. He was wearing his green cargo shorts, splattered with paint, and his Tenderloins tee. The baby monitor rang out with Connors cry.
"I'd better get Connor. Scarlett, who don't you help daddy" I said as I ran upstairs.I carefully picked up Connor and carried him downstairs. I placed him in his high chair as I began to unpack some boxes. I knew it was going to be hard to decorate with the kids running around therefore I decided to see if Sal's parents could take care of them for the day. They instantly agreed so they came round and picked them up. They took a little look at our new placed and liked it.
After they went, me and Sal began to paint the house. We started with the living room. It was fairly large so it was going to take a while. I started on the opposite side of the wall. It was about an hour later, and we were still painting. I was neatly painting the cream walls when Sal suddenly chucked some paint over me. I turned around in utter shock when he done it again. So I then checked some over him. We then began to chase each other around the house, throwing paint at each other whilst we ran. We were in hysterics... and it was a lot of fun.
