The next day, me and Sal both woke up early. I had to get ready for work, and Sal had to take Scarlett to nursery. Luckily Sal had the day off which meant he could look after Connor.
I quickly got dressed into my smart outfit consisting of my white blouse, black trousers and blazer. I slipped on my black shoes and ran downstairs. I quickly said goodbye to Scarlett and Connor. Then I quickly kissed Sal's cheek and darted out of he door.
"Bye!" I called as I ran to my car. Luckily me and Sal had separate cars which was a lifesaver right now.I arrived into work and knocked on the door of Jim's office. He waved his hand for me to come in, so I did.
"Good Morning" I said with a smile.
"Good Morning to you too" he said with a smile. "So your office is directly next to mine, and I've put out some work. It's mainly just filing if that's okay?" Jim told me.
"Yep that's fine. Actually... I have a question" I said.
"Go ahead, what is it?" Jim asked.
"What time do I finish? I didn't mean that to sound rude but I have to see my kids" I said, feeling awful for wording it that way.
"Hey I understand. Unless we have meetings, I've scheduled you to finish at 5. Therefore you have plenty of time to see your kids" Jim said with a smile.
"Thank you" I replied with a smile.I walked into my office and placed a photograph of me, Sal, Connor and Scarlett on my desk. I began to work, enjoying every second of my new job.
Meanwhile, Sal quickly rushed out of the door with Connor and Scarlett. He begun to drive to Scarlett's nursery. He just about made it in time. Sal bought, as he was already in Staten Island, he could go and visit Murr, however he had an unexpected phone call first...
