That night me and Sal walked hand in hand up to his parents house. I was sinking in the nerves, with anxiety rushing over me. I took multiple deep breaths and held onto Sal's hand tighter.
"My parents, are in the kitchen waiting. If you wait behind the door then I'll introduce you" Sal advised me. I nodded slowly thinking what I would say to them.
"Okay babe" I replied, without thinking. I could see Sal warmly smiling to himself. He opened up the door and kissed my forehead as he went in the kitchen to be greeted by his parents. I hid away behind the door, being able to hear what they were saying.

"My darling boy" Sal's mother said, giving Sal a hug.
"Hello Ma" Sal replied.
"Good evening son" Sal's dad said.
"So, as you know I've bought my new girlfriend round for dinner" Sal began.
"That's a shame you and Emily never got together" Sal's mother interrupted. I smiled to myself when I heard this. "You and her made a cute couple" she added.
"Well my girlfriend is waiting outside so let me get her" Sal quickly said. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and led me into the kitchen.
"Mom, dad. Meet Emily" he said with a cheeky smile.
"This is your girlfriend right?!" His Mum asked.
"Yeah mom" Sal replied. She ran up to me with open arms and hugged me.
"Finally my son has some brain cells!" She joked. Sal jokingly rolled his eyes and pulled me even closer to him.
"Let's have a drink" his dad announced.

Me and Sal stuck to orange juice and joined his parents in the living room for a chat.
"So who asked who out?" His mother asked.
"Sal asked me out" I revealed.
"When?" His mother asked, growing interest in our relationship.
"A few days ago" I answered.
"I just wished I hadn't wasted all this time without you" Sal said to me.
"You were worth the wait" I replied, softly smiling staring into his green eyes.
"Aww you two are super cute!" His mother said, squealing with excitement.
"I suppose we should begin to eat our dinner" Sal's dad said to us.

We all sat around the table, me and Sal sat beside eachother. We held hands underneath the table; our hands resting on my knee. We began to eat the scrumptious meal the Vulcano's had prepared for us.
"This is delicious!" I said. I could see in the corner of my eye Sal smiling at me and I couldn't held but smile back. When we were convinced his parents weren't looking Sal mouthed
"I love you" to me, which instantly drew a smile on my face. I mouthed back.
"I love you even more" which made him smile too.
