I squealed with excitement as I ran up to the office. I couldn't believe how lucky I was. I had the whole company!! Straight away my co-workers congratulated me. I was very thankful... however I was more thankful of Sal. He's the reason I am where I am. I guess he's a lifesaver.
As soon as the agonisingly slow clock reached 5pm, I said goodbye to my fellow workers. I ran down to my car to see a note on my windscreen reading "come to the roof!"
I smiled at the note then ran all the way up to the roof. I saw Sal stood in the centre, wearing a white tee with a smart jacket and jeans. He looked unexpectedly smart for a casual meeting with me. There was a picnic blanket laid in the middle and a few fairy light dangling around.
"What is all this?!" I asked with a smile, taking in the astonishing sight. The sunsetting over New York City, as the buildings outlined the fiery sky.
"I wanted to treat the birthday girl. However I didn't want an ordinary dinner, I wanted something spectacular" Sal replied with a smirk, knowing this was prefect. He held out his hand and I gladly accepted. Sal led me over to the picnic blanket as we took a seat.
"I have a mixture of your favourite foods" Sal explained. "Chocolate dipped strawberries~" Sal began until I cut him off with a kiss.
"What was that for?" Sal smirked.
"Your just... perfect. You do all this for me! I... I love you" I stuttered, with happy tears laying in my eyes, soon falling off of my eyes.
"I love you too. More than anything" Sal replied with a warm smile.
I grabbed him by the neck and pulled him in for a longer kiss, the two of us lingering on. We shared our kiss as the sun set on a busy day in New York City.... like no other.(A/N: WOO HOO!!
