Immediately all their faces lit up.
"She's precious" Bessy said, admiring her.
"Aww she's so cute!!" Joe said. Murr was in total shock.
"She's... amazing!" Murr said.
"She's our little Scarlett" Sal said.
"Can I hold her?" Murr asked.
"Sure" Sal replied as he cautiously passed her over. Murr held her tightly in his arms as her eyes slowly opened up. "She's gorgeous" Murr said to me and Sal.
"I know she is" I joked.
"She's so small" Q added. After a while, Scarlett got passed around all of them, and she landed back over to me and Sal. We looked at the clock and saw it was 9pm, and Scarlett was pretty much asleep anyway.
"We should take her to bed" I said to Sal.
"Don't worry, we will get off we will come round tomorrow" Joe said as they all left. After they went, me and Sal went upstairs to take Scarlett to bed. Sal gently laid her in the crib, and wrapped the blankets around her. He didn't want to leave her, so he sat on the rocking chair as She watched her drift asleep. It wasn't long before she woke up crying again.i ran downstairs to get her blankie whilst Sal stayed upstairs with her.
He held her in his arms and tried to calm her down.
"How about a story?" He said in a baby voice to her. "Once upon a time there lived a king and Queen named Sal and Emily. Emily was gorgeous and one day she bumped into the prince.." Sal begun. I lingered outside of the door and listened in, letting a smile slip on my face. Sal continued.
"And one day the king and queen got married and a few months later we had a beautiful princess called Scarlett" he said. I crept into the room and knelt down beside Sal
"And the queen couldn't be more happy" I interrupted with a whisper as Scarlett has fallen asleep. Sal turned to me and smiled.
"It's the best fairytale I know" Sal whispered as he placed a kiss on my forehead.Soon after, we placed Scarlett in her crib and went to bed. We were in the bedroom next door so we weren't that far away. As soon as my head hit the pillow I fell straight asleep, but Sal couldn't.
"Em" he whispered. "Em!" He whisper yelled, as he nudged me.
"What?" I asked, as I was knackered.
"Maybe we should move the crib in here" he suggested. I looked at him confused. "Just for a few nights. I hate to think that Scarlett is all by herself" Dal said, with a concerned expression.
"She's just fallen asleep, leave her be" I said as I went back to sleep. However, Sal got up and sat on the rocking chair in Scarlett's room to be by her. Soon she began crying, which I heard on the baby monitor. I got up and walked into her room, seeing Sal stood there with her in his arms again.
"Now can we move the crib into our room?" He asked.
"Fine" I said with a smile.
