After the wedding me and Sal made our way back to the hotel we were staying at. Sal was a bit tipsy and I was exhausted. We walked in, to have rose petals on the bed, a love heart shaped box of chocolates and a card from the hotel saying congratulations.
I slumped onto the bed, whilst Sal bought in some champagne.
"Your my beautiful wife" he slurred, causing me to laugh. When I say tipsy... I mean drunk. He crashed onto the bed, almost falling asleep immediately. It was gone 11pm, so I decided to slowly take the glass from his hand and wrap the blankets over him to keep him warm.

I went into the bathroom and carefully took off my dress and got changed into my pyjamas. I snuggled into bed beside Sal and drifted off to sleep.

The next morning I woke up to a bright light in the room. I looked over to the time and saw it was 6:30am. I got up and followed the light, which led to the bathroom. I saw Sal hunched over the toilet, vomiting. I rushed over to his side and knelt down beside him. I gently rubbed circles on his back to calm him down with one hand, and held his hand with he other.
"It's okay babe" I said soothingly. After five minutes he stopped being sick, and was very hot and pale. He leaned his head on my chest as I gently ran my hands through his hair. I softly planted a kiss on his forehead and asked
"Do you wanna go back to bed?"
He sheepishly nodded, so I held onto his hand and led him back to bed. He said he had a thumping headache too, and I had one diagnosis... a hangover.
I led on the bed, leaning on my elbow, gently running my fingers through his gelled hair.
"This is what you get for drinking way too much" I joked, therapeutically running my hands through strands of his hair. He smiled lightly at my comment.
"This is not how I imagined our first day of married life" Sal said with a chuckle.
"Why? This is perfect" I said to him with a smile.
"Really?! I've just been sick, I'm hungover and we are stuck in this hotel room" Dal said with a weak laugh.
"Correction; we are stuck in this hotel room together. We have no interruptions. Just the company of each other and that's all I could ever ask for" I replied, kissing his foreheads.

We spent the whole day in the hotel room, watching movies and cuddling up to each other. This is how I want to spend the rest of my life....
