Chapter 18

I finally got to the end of all the boxes and placed the pictures in a neat pile beside Sal.
"I have more upstairs I think" Sal revealed.
"Can we take a look?" I asked him.
"Follow me" Sal said, holding my hand.

He led me to his bedroom, where I took a seat on the bed. He went into the cupboard and bought out more boxes of photographs. Sal tipped them onto the bed and sat beside me as we searched through them. I found loads of when he was younger and some from him as a baby.
I then stumbled upon photos of me and Sal from college. His mum must have taken it without us knowing because we were hugging in the snow.
"This one is cute" I said, waving the picture to Sal.
"I remember seeing that the other day. I adore that photo" Sal replied.
I admired the picture for a while and placed it close to my heart and slowly fell asleep on Sals chest with his heart beating through my ears.

The next morning I woke up, still led on Sal's chest and the pictures neatly packed away and my head still softly laying in his chest. I looked up to find Sal still peacefully asleep. I wrapped my arms around him slightly tighter and rested there for a while. I couldn't go back to sleep, so just listened to the birds chirping merrily outside and watched the sun beaming in through the windows.
I led there until Sal began storing in in his feel, soon followed by a soft "good morning gorgeous". I smiled and sat up to be face to face with him.
"Good morning" I sung in a merrily tune.
"What's put you in a happy mood?" Sal asked, as he gently stroke my back.
"You" I replied with a smile. He smiled with a confused look.
"How? I haven't done anything?!" Sal replied with a laugh.
"Just being here with you makes me happy" I said.
"Me too" he replied, kissing my forehead. "So I hate to bring this up.." Sal began, making me feel anxious; as if he would break up with me.
"What is it?" I asked raising my eyebrows worryingly. Sal could sense I was feeling uneasy about what he would say so he calmed me down quickly by revealing his news.
"My parents want to meet you" Sal told me. I took a sigh of relief.
"But- they have already met me" I pointed out.
"Not it exactly. I have told them I have a new girlfriend but haven't told them who. I thought it would be a nice surprise" Sal told me.
"Ahh right. And they would like to meet me today?" I asked.
"Yep tonight for dinner" he revealed.
"I'll see you then!" I said, kissing his cheek, causing him to blush.
