This is be before the events of Black Panther. I know his birthday is after the release of the movie, but I'm going to say that the events of Black Panther didn't happen till later. If you get what I mean.

"Thank you for letting me enter Wakanda, King T'challa." You smiled at him as you entered the barrier.

"You are very welcome y/n. You know you can call me T'challa." He nodded.

"Okay then."

He turned from the window to you, "Bucky has been talking about you. I know you prefer not to fight, so I'm glad that you still kept in contact with Steve. Otherwise we probably wouldn't be having this conversation."

"Of course I still do. I might not use my powers often or be apart of the Avengers, but Steve is my best friend."

T'challa smiled, and soon the jet landed. As the door opened you noticed who must've been Shuri.

"Hello y/n. I'm Shuri." She extended her hand and you shook it. "It's so nice to meet my son's fiance and my future daughter in law."

Behind you T'challa laughed, "Shuri, I told you already an 101 year old man cannot be your son."

Shuri just rolled her eyes, "He's my son wether you like it or not brother. Just admit it your jealous that I have a son, and you don't have any children."

T'challa walked up to the both of you shaking his head as he tried to hide a smile. "I'm sorry about Shuri y/n. Tell your "son" I said hello. I must go observe a meeting with mother." He hugged Shuri as he walked off.

"Come y/n." You walked beside her, and you looked around the savannah.

"I told Bucky to wait outside of the village. He's going to be so excited. He doesn't know why I asked him though. He has no idea your coming."

You looked down collecting your thoughts, "Shuri... Why does he live in the village and not in the city?"

She looked to you wondering if she should tell you she was still working on his arm. "I thought he'd like it out here more. It's nice and quiet. There's a lake, and the villagers are nice and accepting. He helps the farmers, and he loves the children. It also helps him focus so he can remember important things, like you."

"What about the words and his arm?"

"Currently all the words except one are out of him. The one that makes him shut down. I'm still working on his arm, but it will be finished soon. Then I'll come and attach it."

You were about to talk when you looked up and froze. It was if time stood still. His smile was just as captivating as it was in the forties.

You couldn't wait anymore. You quickly ran to him, and you hugged him tightly. You couldn't help but close your eyes and cry.

"Darlin, please don't cry." He hugged you even tighter as he rubbed your back.

"I'm sorry Bucky.... I just... I've been waiting to see you for over seven decades, and now the moment is finally here. I'm just so happy." You opened your eyes as you pulled away from him.

He reached his hand out to you, and you didn't hesitate to reach out and take it in your own. He looked to Shuri.

"Happy late birthday my son!" She smiled.

"Thanks Shuri." He just chucked.

"Well I'm going to go now. Have a good day my children." She walked off in the direction that you arrived in, and you looked to Bucky.

"Why does she call you her son?" You giggled.

"I have no clue. She's claimed that she already got the adoption papers. I guess it's because she's been helping me so much." He shrugged as you both began to walk, and you swung your hand with his own.
