"Did my picture help?"

You walked to the living room and sat down.

"Of course it did sweetie."

"I can't wait to see him. I've made us all dinner. I... I know I'm supposed to say I'm your housekeeper, but... Do you think he'll ever remember you? Do you'll ever be able to tell him that you're husband and wife? Do you think I'll ever be able to tell him that he's my father even though physically I look like I'm one of your grandparents?"

"Cecilia Elise Barnes, I know that we'll find a way to get him back. It'll take some time, but we will get your dad back." You walked up to your daughter giving her a hug.

"I think I can help. I have been working lately in the lab, and I've found a way to stimulate his brain, and hopefully it will give him his memories. I might have not gotten powers, but I make up for it in brains."

Then you grabbed her hands squeezing them, "Oh sweetie, I don't care if you ever had powers or not. You are my precious little jewel. I love you as you are, and your father will love and appreciate you too."

"Thank you Mom. I'm going to go check on the food. Also I was planning on going to the salon to dye my hair. It's getting gray again."

"Your hair looks lovely Cece."

She just rolled her eyes as she walked to the kitchen. You frowned when she left. You wanted the world for your daughter. She got married, but just like her father, her husband died severing in the army during the Vietnam war. After that she never married again, and you didn't force her either. She never had children either. Eventually she moved to your home, and you began to both work on finding a way to get Bucky back when you found out he was the Winter soldier thanks to your powers.

You turned on the TV trying to distract your mind. You hated that your daughter was aging as you and Bucky remained relatively young. She was going to be seventy- three years old this year. Seventy-three.

"That bed was comfortable." Bucky broke you out of your thoughts, and you looked to him before getting up.

"I'm glad you did Bucky."

"I... I had a dream, about my name. I was called that name by someone in my dream. I couldn't see them, but it was a woman. I think there was music playing wherever we were too, and that was about it."

"What if that's a memory?" You walked to him taking hold of his hand.

"I don't know..."

"Maybe you should write it down in case." You spoke, "Are you hungry?"

He nodded, and you excitedly walked with him to the kitchen. "I have someone I want you to meet."

"Bucky, this is Cecilia."

Cecilia gasped before composing herself. "I'm y/n's housekeeper. You can call me Cece."

"Cecilia... I like that name a lot." He smiled walking to her, and she couldn't help but hug him.

"I'm sorry. I'm just a hugger, and thank you." She laughed as she got the plates.

"Here let me help you get those." Bucky offered.

She nodded smiling as he got the plates, and she got the cups. You tried to ask is you could help, but you giggled when they both said no. Cecilia over the years reminded you so much of Bucky, and now that they both were with you, it was so fun to watch their mannerisms.

Dinner went well, and Cecilia decided to tell Bucky about her experiments. He agreed to go to her lab, and you decided to let them go to bond while you cleaned up the kitchen. You were curious to know what would happen mainly because Cecilia hadn't told you about her experiments. You wondered if they would work. You wondered if your husband would get all his memories back already, or if this was going to be a much longer process of trial and error.

Once you finished cleaning, you went upstairs to change into your pyjamas and let down your long hair that you purposely grew over all the years Bucky was gone. You did get it cut when it got too long, but you kept it relatively long as a reminder of all the years Hydra stole from your family.

When you went downstairs Bucky and Cece were on the couch, and it seemed like she was teaching him how to use the TV. Bucky always had such a fascination with the future, science, technology, and art, that he'd be gobsmacked to see where he was today. He'd also be elated to know that his daughter had worked for some time at NASA before she retired.

You hated to interrupt, but you simply had to know if your daughter's experiments had any progress. "Cece, can I see you for a moment please?"

"Of course." She smiled as she got up walking with you to another room in your large house. "How did it go?"

"I'm still going to have to work on it, but now he remembers everyday things like the shower, kitchen appliances, and so on. Though now that they all have advanced we have to reteach him how to use it all."

You nodded, "Your doing a wonderful job sweetie."

Cece moved you both further into the house. "Mom... I was thinking... Uncle Steve and his Avenger team live in that tower owned by Stark. I know Uncle Steve doesn't know we're alive, and he doesn't even know I exist. However, I think they could help us. Then Steve could be with you again like it was before I was born."

"Oh Cece... I... Steve would be so mad that I hadn't contacted him sooner. I believe in you, and I believe that you can bring back your father's memories. But, if you want, we can try to get in contact with him. We just need to find out how to make this work."

"I could go. I could say I want to apply for a job maybe helping the Avengers, and then I can bring Steve and a few of the others to the house. That's when we'd tell them why I really brought them here."

You looked down trying to decide what to do.

"Mom... It's time we finally tell the truth. We can't hide anymore. Steve deserves to know the truth. People should know your story. Steve can protect you and Dad from Hydra and any other enemy. If they know, they might be able to save him much faster than I could. My hands aren't as strong as they used to be. You could still live here. I might move to an apartment nearby."

"Sweetie, I'm not tired of you, but if you want to move that's fine. I suppose we could do that plan.... Just be careful."

"You want me to do it today?"

"Yes sweetie. If you think this could work, then we should take the risk. You're right, I shouldn't hide anymore. My brother deserves to know the truth.... I just hope he's not mad with me."

This time your daughter was the one who took your hands, her own wrinkled ones gently squeezing your own in comfort. "Uncle Steve won't be mad. He'll get his sister and best friend back. He'll be happy. I just feel it in my heart mom."

"Alright then. Just be careful. I'm going to stay and make sure your father is okay."

She nodded, and you both walked to the living room. Bucky looked to you both with concern, "Is everything okay?"

"Everything is fine. We just realized that I need to get a few things for your bathroom." Cece spoke, "I'm just going to go to town for a bit."

"Oh alright." Bucky nodded.

Cece left, and you sat down with Bucky.

"It's weird how I can remember appliances now but still have to learn how to use the new ones. It makes me wonder how old I really am." Bucky sighed as he rubbed his temples.

"How old do you think you are?" You placed your hand on his back and began to rub it. Then he looked to you.

"Angel... I feel like I've missed so much. I know that I look like I'm in my twenties, but I feel like I've been around for a lifetime. Is that weird?"

"No... It's not weird at all. Hopefully you'll be able to make sense of things soon, but I'm going to be honest with you.... I'm actually going to be one hundred and one this year." You hoped you wouldn't regret telling him that.

"What? How?" His eyes went wide.

"I guess while we wait for Cecilia, I have a story to tell."

Bucky smiled as he was amazed by your statement, "I love stories angel, and I can't wait to hear yours."

Only time would tell how things would play out.
