Another Bear

It was another lazy day, so you decided to go shopping. You got Bucky to come with you, and surpassingly it wasn't too busy.

You swung your hand with Bucky's as you walked around all the stores. Anytime you would try to buy something, Bucky had already paid for it.

You playfully pushed Bucky as you walked out another store, "Bucky please let me pay for something next time."

"Not happenin darlin." He just smirked as he grabbed your hand again.

You rolled your eyes and continued to walk on. Then you stopped Bucky at a store you hadn't been to in years.

"Build A Bear Workshop?" Bucky looked to you in confusion.

"Yeees. I used to come here all the time when I was younger. I was a build a bear expert. Let's go build a bear." You giggled pulling him inside.

You lead him to where all the bears and animals were and already looked at the ones you might want.

"Doll... Some of these aren't bears."

"I know." You began looking through the one you wanted trying to find the best of the batch when you heard Bucky gasp.

"Y/n, did you know most of these things are around thirty dollars? Bears back in my day cost around 98 cents."

You giggled again as you walked to him. "Bucky, you sound like an old Grandpa more than my boyfriend. Anyway, that 98 cents probably would've cost around the same as one of the cheaper bears."

Bucky grumbled crossing his arms, "I might be an 101 year old in a 26 year old body, but... I'm not old, and I'm definitely no Grandpa."

"I know. You're just my young loveable boyfriend." You cuddled into his side.

"I know. Now can you help me with all this stuff. You said you were an expert."

Your eyes scanned all the pushes until they landed on a camo bear. He also seemed to go to that particular bear. You already had your animal picked out, so you walked to him as he picked one up.

"Okay you gotta make sure the bear looks good. I dig through and look for the best. Sometimes some of them are dirty."

Bucky looked from the one he held then back to you, "Yeah, I uh, I think this is good."

You grabbed his hand and lead him to the sounds. "Okay now you can choose a sound. I normally don't though."

Bucky looked at all the options and then back to you. "I don't think I want one either."

Then you lead him to the stuffing area. One of the ladies walked up to you both smiling, "before we stuff your animal friends, do you want to add smells?"

Your eyes went wide, "Y'all have smells now? Man, I really haven't been here in a long time."

"Yep we got some like strawberries and cotton candy." The lady said.

"Do you have a plum or pancake smell?" Bucky obviously asked.

"No sir, but we have berry scent. You can look and smell all our options on the side of our stuffing machine."

You both began smelling the options. You choose one, but Bucky decided not to get one. Then the lady sat down taking your animal and Bucky's bear. She picked up Bucky's bear first.

"Okay sir can you step on the pedal for me?"

He did as she said and his eyes went wide. "Whoa."

You couldn't help but giggle at him. He was just so adorable.

"What's so funny doll?"

"You keep stepping on the pedal when you can just keep your foot on the pedal. It's cute."

You giggled even more when his cheeks got red, and he scratched the back of his neck.

"Okay sir you can step of the pedal. Can you squeeze your bear to see if it's cuddly enough?"

Bucky did as she said and squeezed the bear really hard. Then he nodded his head saying it was good. Then you stuffed your own.

"Okay, now will you both pick out hearts for your friends?"

You and Bucky went over to the hearts and reached in at the same time. You yourself blushed when your hands touched. You held his hand often, but sometimes you still couldn't help but blush.

"Okay you guys rub your heart in your hands so your friends will always be warm. Jump up and down to get the heart pumping. Rub the hearts on your head so they'll always be smart. Now close your eyes and make a wish. Finally, kiss the hearts so your friends will have lots of love. Great now you can put your hearts in your friends."

It was so fun to watch Bucky as he did everything the lady said. The lady finished stitching up the animals and you grabbed Bucky's hand leading him to the wash station.

"Okay so now we brush their fur in this pretend tub."

You let him step on the pedal, and you both brushed your animals fur. Then you took him to the clothes.

"Look Buckybear. We can let your bear wear a uniform." You picked up the army uniform and hat.

"I like the Luke Skywalker outfit." Bucky picked up the outfit. Then he looked at the tag. "Y/n... This outfit... for a bear... is eighteen dollars. I think this teddy bear is just gonna have to pretend he's wearing clothes."

The way he said in addition to his facial expressions was a moment you wouldn't forget. "Don't worry, I never really got clothes for mine either. I got them when I didn't find an animal I wanted. Anyways now we get to name them."

You both went to the naming section, and you already put in everything other than the animal's name. Bucky finished his, and he was now working on a name.

"Luke Barnes." You looked to his computer.

"Yup so I can be like Luke, I am your father."

"Bucky if we ever have kids, and we have a boy, you better not name our son Luke."

You both blushed when that slipped out of your mouth. Even though you had been together for a long time, the topic of your future together hadn't been discussed often. Of course you wanted your future to be with Bucky, but you were nervous to talk about things like that. You weren't even sure why.

Bucky then smiled to you, "You know we'd probably have a girl anyway so..."

Then you came up with your animal's name. You both finished and went to the checkout where they got the certificate.

"Nice names. Would you like a bag or box for Luke and (your animal's name)?"

You normally would choose bags to save space when you got home, but since this was Bucky's first build a bear experience you chose the boxes that looked like a house.

After paying, you both walked out hand in hand with your animals in your opposite hands.

"That was so much fun wasn't it?"

"I guess."

"You know it was fun, especially since I used Tony's credit card." You couldn't help but feel just a bit bad for taking your cousin's card, but he did have over ten cards so...

"You're right. I had fun. Thanks for bringing me."

"Oh honey I always have fun with you." You kissed him and continued your shopping day together.

I hope you enjoyed that. I know they have more than animals, but I just wrote animals for convenience. I dunno. Sorry that's probably not what you expected, but I just think him being in build a bear making a bear with the reader would be so cute. I'm sorry if it's not completely accurate, I haven't been in a while. Anyways. Thanks for reading Bucky's plums.
