Bucky sat in his cell. He sat waiting for something to happen. Why did it have to be now. He knew he'd be captured one day, but he wished it wasn't today. He'd been living as normally as he could for two years now. He honestly was beginning to think he wouldn't have to worry  about ever being caught, but here he was.

He watched as some man walked up to him. "Hello James."

"It's Bucky." He faintly whispered aggravated that they just couldn't talk to him like a normal human being.

"Bucky. Yes. What do you remember?"

Bucky remained silent. He didn't remember much of his life at at. It all came in bits and pieces. It's like his mind was an old TV. He'd be able to watch things happen, but if the antenna was moved all that was left was the black and white static. Then the tv would come on and he'd miss several "episodes" not knowing what's supposed to be happening. The journals helped him to an extent to recall things, but it all still made hardly any sense to him.

"I'll take it you don't remember much." The man took out a picture and held it in front of Bucky. "Do these people look familiar?"

Bucky looked at the picture. "The man on the bridge, Steve... And y/n. I saw their pictures in the museum."

"But do you really remember them?"

"No." Bucky looked up at the man.

"That's unfortunate because they are both alive, well, and young." The man walked close to the cell.

"Why does it matter?" Bucky frowned.

"They're your friends. Look they want to see you again, and they want to spend time with you. They know you are innocent, and they are doing everything they can to get you your freedom." The man spoke as he got another picture.

He walked back to Bucky showing him the picture, "The woman, y/n, she was important to you. I know it's not the best time to tell you, but you both were supposed to be engaged."

"I read that in the museum." Bucky looked in another direction. He saw the woman when he'd get flashes of memories. He couldn't remember anything about her, but he remembered seeing them spend a lot of time together, even though he didn't remember the moments either.

"As soon as we can get you out of here, we're going to try to restore all your memories where they will fully make sense." The man put the pictures back in his case.

Bucky remained silent. He wanted to believe that he could get a sense of himself back, but it all seemed to good to be true.

"When?" He whispered.

"I would hope it to be soon, hopefully within the next few days." The man said crossing his arms behind his back.

Bucky remained silent as he looked to the man. He felt off about the man and wondered if what he was saying was true.

"Do you believe me?" The man asked.

Bucky still looked in the opposite direction. He heard the man sigh.

"Do you believe me now?"

Bucky turned his head back to where the man was. His eyes went wide as he saw blue envelope the man and where the man once stood was the same woman from the pictures.

"You're y/n." He spoke normally.

"Yes. I am." You picked up a tablet that unlocked the cell. Then you released the locks that confined him in the cell.

You slowly walked up to him extending your hand. "Let's get you out of this cell." You smiled.

Slowly he took your hand and stepped out. Then you stopped him.

"I know you don't remember, so it's as if we just met. You probably don't trust me, but I can give you back your memories where they all make sense. I won't alter them in any way."

"Why are you doing this?"he whispered.

"I'm doing this because my heart will always be yours. It might be one ended due to circumstance, but I don't want to see you alone anymore. You belong here. You belong Bucky."

He nodded, and you cupped your hands on his cheeks. You closed your eyes as you began to piece his memories together where they would make sense. You added how he felt during each experience and tried to put all the information you could into his memories.

The next thing you know it's waking up on a small couch that was in the interrogation room. When you're eyes adjusted to the light you noticed Bucky sitting on the edge of the couch holding your hand.

"Hey doll, are you okay?" He whispered.

"Bucky... Do you remember? You slowly sat up scooting closer to him.

"Yes. Yes I remember darling." He smiled as he looked to you.

"You remember!" You giggled hugging him as a few happy tears escaped your eyes.

Bucky wrapped his arms around you rubbing your back kissing the top of your head.

"It's so good to be back home with you in my arms."Bucky whispered.

"I love getting to be wrapped in your arms Buckybear."

"Oh how I've missed that nickname." He smiled and for once all was well.
