***DJ's POV***
I got to enroll to one of the big universities here in Manila, sa tulong na din ni Tito Marco. I am a late enrollee.
Malaki ang university dito compared sa Germany and marami-rami din na foreigners ang nag-aaral.
This is my first-day of school at medyo kinakabahan ako. Five minutes na lang before my first class starts at hahagilapin ko pa ang room ko. Diyahe naman kasing magpasama pa ako kay Tita Patricia para alamin kung nasaan ang mga classrooms na papasukan ko.
I'm almost running now dahil baka hindi ako umabot on time. My parents especially my dad are very particular with time kaya natuto rin akong magvalue nito kahit papaano.
"Oooopppss! I'm sorry!"
Shoot! I bumped into someone.
"Ano ba-----?!"
"IKAW?!!!" we uttered in unison.
Akalain ko bang makikita ko siya dito.
"What are you doing here?" tanong ko sa kanya. Baka nambibiktima rin ito dito sa loob ng school. But he has his ID?
"Estudyante ako dito, mister! Ikaw, outsider ka. Wala kang ID. Wait, iri-report kita."
"Hey wait!" I grabbed him by his arm. Ang payat niya. Lalaki ba ito?
"Ano ba? Bitawan mo nga ako!"
His voice is more of a female. Teka!
"Are you a gay?" I asked him.
"What?! Upakan kita gusto mo?"
Suddenly from somewhere...
"Hey Chikko! There you are! 'Been looking for you everywhere... Where have you been?"
"Bro! Can you get this shit out of my sight?" sabay turo niya sa akin.
"What? I'm not a shit. You are!" I responded.
"Hey! Hey! What's happening here?"
"Hey man! By the way, I'm DaleJohn. Your friend here is...! Wait! Is he your friend?"
The guy whispered to me...
"He's a bisexual. He's a she.."
"What? Ohhhhh!" I realized it now.
"Yeah, I'm Luke. Nice meeting you man!"
"Yeah! Sorry Luke, I'm getting late! Got to go! See you around!"
I ran as fast as I could until I got to my room.
That man! Oh that bisexual! I'm not done with her yet!
Wait, what's her name? Chikko? I suddenly laughed in silence as I remember the fruit Tita Patricia gave me the other day.
I was introduced to the class as a new student from Germany. There are 4 girls in the room and the rest are guys... I forgot this is an engineering class.
The day went great. I got acquainted with my two classmates who happen to be half Filipinos as well. They're James and Joseph... so biblical!
After the last class ay lumabas na agad ako ng school.
Nagulat ako dahil nasa may gate si Tita Pat naghihintay.
"Tita? Why are you here?"
"Sinusundo kita. Tumawag mommy mo. Turuan daw kita kung paano mag-commute. Ayaw niyang ipagamit ko sayo iyong kotse sa bahay."
"That's fine. Gusto ko nga ein po iyan kasi sobrang traffic dito."
"Pilipinas to eh. Kung ayaw mo na ng traffic balik ka na sa Germany."
"No! Okay lang Tita. Masasanay din po ako."
I don't want to go back there, yet!
Tita Pat and I rode on a jeepney. Nakakatuwa namang sumakay sa ganito. Kaso siksikan. Buti na lang tsiks ang katabi ko... not bad!
I almost lost balance nang tumigil ang jeep. May pumara. At nagmamadali itong bumaba.
Wait! Siya yun! Ang tomboy! Where is she going?
Market place?
Hmmnnn... Anyway malaki pa naman ang possibility that our paths will cross again. Sige lang. It's her day today.
In fairness, may itsurang tomboy... actually better to say, mestizang tomboy? I think she got some American features.
"Okay ka lang?" Tita suddenly asked me.
"Yes, Tita."
"Mukhang may hinahanap ka? May kakilala ka na ba dito?"
"Actually iyon po kasing kakababa lang, schoolmate ko.."
"Really? Sayang hindi ko napansin. Maganda ba?"
"Po?"
"Sabi ko kung maganda."
"Ha? Ah eh... gwapo po."
"Ah lalaki."
"Ay hindi po."
"Ano?! Gwapo pero di lalaki? Tomboy ba?"
I just nodded.
"Tsk! Daming ganyan, yung mga nabibigo sa pag-ibig... Ako malapit na..."
"You're saying something, Tita?"
"Wala. Ang gwapo mo talaga pamangkin."
"Syempre good genes tayo Tita!"
And she laughed.
Tita Pat taught me on how to commute from school until home. Isang sakay ng jeep. Then trycicle papasok ng subdivision where my grandparents reside.
I can say that my first day was great pwera lang sa tomboy na iyon.
Di bale magkikita pa naman kami nun.
