Chapter 38 - heartbroken

3 months later

Caitlyn's POV
Today is a check up with the doctor I'm about 5 month pregnant and everything seems to be going smooth Ben is coming with me because we are also finding out The gender "Mrs Hardy" I hear my doctor call out my name when we get into the doctors room I did the usual such as get in the bed and slide down my pants, he puts a cool Gel on my stomach and starts to find the heartbeat, but he can't find it, he starts looking at the ultrasound picture and notices something odd "oh dear" he says "Mr a Mrs Hardy I'm not sure how tell you this" I hated hearing that I had a feeling of what was going to come out of his mouth "your baby is no longer alive I'm very sorry to say you had a miscarriage" he says I knew it all this time I knew it, I put my hand to my mouth and look at Ben " no this can't be true, doc please look again it ha to be alive" Ben said holding my hand "I'm sorry I have tried to have a look but this ultrasound shows his heart stopped beating" he looked down Ben started crying sitting back down seeing Ben cried made me cry "wait did you say his?" The doctor nodded "yes you were expecting a boy, again I'm so sorry, I am going give some medicine to help to rid of it" he handed me a slip "he was quite small so it's seems he has died because of that" he said leaving the room, I was absolutely heart broken. We go in the car and I started crying, Ben pulled me close to him "it's ok baby it's ok we are going to get through this like champions ok, you have to be strong for me" he kissed my forehead. When we got home I straight away hugged Kenzie I wouldn't let go of her I was so happy that she survived, I put Kenzie down for her nap and sat on the couch just staring into nothing.........

Ben's POV
After I checked on Kenzie I make my way downstairs to see Caity completely heartbroken she has tears running down her face, life at the moment was hard for her she was still upset about her fathers passing and now to make even worse a miscarriage, I call Gen to tell her that we are coming over for a bit so Said we could go for dinner "Caity?" I walk up to her, she looked at me "yes what is it" she wiped her owns tears away "Gen invited us to her house for dinner?" I though she would be happy but she just nodded and stood up "I'll get Kenzie and then we can go" I said to her giving her a peck, I picked up Kenzie and took her outside "let's go" I grabbed Caity's hand and we went to the car "do you want help to get in" I asked her she just shook her head, I put Kenzie in her car seat "your very smily today aren't you" i kissed Kenzie's cheek. I knock on the door at Gen's house "Ben, Caity nice to see you" Joe shook my hand and kissed Caity's cheek "come on in, Caity Gen is in the kitchen" Joe said to Caity but she nodded and sat on the couch, I put Kenzie on the floor she could now crawl like a champ and Tanner was now walking he recently turned 1 he could also say a few words "Hey Tanner look its Ben Ben" joe said pointing at me "ben ben" tanner pointed at me smiling soon Tanner and Kenzie soon are off playing with they toys "oh hey guys I just finished dinner you guys came right on time" we soon are sitting on the dinner table and we start eating but I notice Caity was not eating she was just picked at her food "Caity do you want to get some fresh air" I asked her, she nodded and grabbed her hand "we will be right back" I too her outside and we sat on the deck stairs she rested her head on my shoulder "Caity talk to me! What's wrong my love?" She looked at me "you know what's wrong I feel absolutely broken" she said, I hold her face in my hands and kiss her it always made her feel
Better "that always make me better" she said smiling and kissing me back "shall we go back" I stood up giving her my hand for support, we went back in Joe and Gen looked worried about Caity. After dinner we all sat on the couch watching a movie "Caity what's really going on?" Gen asked her but Caity burst into tears I hugged her and she put her head in my chest and I started rubbing her hair "Caity I thinks it's fine we them" she nodded Caity sits in a normal positions "I was pregnant for the last 5 months and -" I can see her struggling to get the rest out "oh caity that's great news congrats" Both Gen and Joe we're smiling "Caity was pregnant for 5 months and today we went to her check up and we found out she had a miscarriage" Caity started crying putting her face on my arm "oh Caity I'm so sorry to hear that" Gen said letting a tear drop from her eye "well I guess it's not the best time to tell you this" Caity and I looked at Gen and Joe "I'm pregnant" Caity stopped crying "oh I'm so happy for you congrats you guys" Caity said getting up "I'm so sorry Caity" joe said "I thinks it's best we leave, I'll call u later Gen" Caity smiled and picked Kenzie and we left.....
