Chapter 43 - shes gone

Ben's POV
"Ben she's not in her room!" Caity runs out to me crying I was about to go in but Caity stopped me "Kenzie?" She nodded tears rubbing down her eyes "Caity you in she likes to play hide and seek and likes to hide under the blanket, come one let's go check" I grabbed her hand but she hasn't said anything to me "Kenzie!" I see a little bump in the crib under the blanket "there you are!" I pull it off too see her stuffed bear "Kenzie?" I turned around and looked at Caity she was crying "I told you she's not in there, what a way to start of a year" I ran up to her and hugged her, stroking her hair "Caity we must have left her in our room calm down" I kissed the top of her head, I grabbed her hand and we walk to our bedroom "Ben I told you she is not her" she pushed me away falling to ground, I help her up hugging her I tried not to cry I wanted to hold it in so she wilder cry even more "I'll be back, I need a minute, in the mean time call the police, please" I nodded and she went to the bathroom

Caitlyn's POV
I couldn't believe what I was think right now, what a way to start they year, I tell Ben to call the police cause god knows where my daughter is, I walk into the bathroom and look in the mirror and realised something off I turned around and looked at the shower and I said to myslef "we never have the shower curtain closed?" I opened it and I dropped to my knees so hard possibly even bruising then "BEN!" There I saw my daughter stabbed lying in the bathroom, Ben ran in "Caity what is it" I turned around I can see him go pale "she gone.... SHE IS FUCKING GONE BEN!" I got up closing the curtain and running up hugging Ben, I refused to touch her seeing as she was stabbed "my daughter was murdered Ben! FUCKING MURDERED" I scream leaving the bathroom and Ben following me he also had tear running down his face "Caity I need you to calm down. Ok. The cops are own their way!" I turned around facing him "HOW COULD I POSSIBLY BE CALM KNOWING MY DAUGHTER THER IS DEAD IN FHE BATHROOM AND I COULDN'T BE THEIR TO SAVE HER...... I failed Ben, I failed as a mother" I sat on the bed  putting my face in my hands and I started crying, Ben day next to me and pulled me in for one of his comforting hugs "Caity I know, I know, calm down baby. We are going to find out who this. Ok" he kissed the top of my head and I nodded "Ben I'm so sorry" I hugged him even harder "don't apologise you did nothing wrong your emotional right now and so am I. Now let's leave this room and go down stairs." He grabbed my hand but before we could leave "Ben I can't leave her!" Ben didn't say anything he just grabbed me and had to pull me out of the room cause I refused to leave "NO BEN STOP I CANT LEAVE HER. NO.STOP" he didn't see anything I could see him trying to be strong for me but he still has tears rolling down his eyes. Ben took my downstairs in the couch and he put a blanket over me and gave me a kiss like a very 'it's going to be ok' kisses, soon the doorbell rang it was the cops. We explained to them what had happened and they told us to pack a few things and leave the house immediately and that they had everything sorted out. Ben and i packed a few clothes I looked in the direction where Kenzie was "coke one Caity" he had to twist me around I started crying again. We decided to go to Joe and Gens house. We knock on the door they took forever to answer "What you guys doing here?" Gen opened the door "Gen we need to talk" Ben said
