1 month later.

"Last day of school, Auttie!  Are you ready?" Jessica smiled.

"Yes!  I'm SO ready for summer!"

"I bet you are!"

"Mhm!  Are we going to Disney World again?"

"Oh.. I don't know, baby.."

"Oh, okay.. Welllll maybe me my daddy, Megan and Landon can go somewhere! Landon was too little to go anywhere last year."

"Yeah.. that would be fun." Jessica smiles softly.

"Yeah.. Alright, I'm ready to go to school!" She smiles.

"Okay, let me just grab the keys."

...

"Hey Dan, have you seen my car keys?"

"Yeah, I have them.  I just put gas in your car."

Jessica looks at him and her heart melts.
"Aw, thank you so much!"

"Aw babe, don't cry!"

"I'm sorry, I'm so emotional today.. who am I kidding, I've been emotional for an entire year!"

Danny wraps his arms and her as she cries.
"You have a good reason to be emotional."

Even more tears roll down Jessica's face.
"He's two months old today."

"I know.."

"I went onto Facebook and one of my friends who had a baby two days before Simba was born, she posted a video of him.. he was laughing." Jessica says crying harder.

Danny lays her head down on his chest and rubs her back.

"I hate social media!" Jessica shouts.

"I know, Boo Boo.."

"It sucks!  I miss him so bad."

"Me too.. But, he's our little angel now and he's always with us."

"I know."

"Moooom!"

"Oh gosh, I better go!  She's gonna have a fit if we're late." Jessica chuckles, wiping her tears.

"I can take her, babe."

"No, no.. I need to get out of the house.  Thank you though."

"No problem."

That day something had been on Jessica's mind and she wanted to discuss it with Danny.

"Danny?"

"Yeah, Boo?"

"I think I should go back to work.  It's been two months."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah.. I need to get back to my normal life.  Besides, Autumn will be over at Sam's a lot more often since it's summer.. then you're working!  I can't be alone." She nods.

"Okay.  Well if that's what you want, I support you."

"Thanks, babe."

Danny smiles and walks over to kiss her neck.
"Any time, Boo Boo!"

The vibration of his voice made her giggle cutely.  A sound he's missed so much.  He had to continue.

"Stop!  Stop it, I'll piss!"

Danny pulls away and laughs.
Jessica smiles up to him and he says, "I love you."

"I love you too." Jessica replies.

Two weeks later.

Today is Jessica's first day back at work.
Her stomach is in knots.  She knows everyone will mention the baby, and she wanted to do her best to Not break down.

"Have a good day at work today, babe."

"Thank you." Jessica sighs then touches her stomach.

"Should I have tried to lose some baby weight before going back?"

"No!  You look beautiful, stop that."

"You think?  Cause I kinda like it.  I know it's stupid, but it brings me comfort.  This was his home." Jessica pouts as she rubs her stomach.

"It was.  A very beautiful home." Danny smiles and kisses her little pooch.

"Okay stop before I lose it!" Jessica chuckles.
"I'll see you later."

"Bye, Boo Boo."

**

When Jessica arrived, her anxiety was high.
But she knew her son was with her and would help her through the day.

When she walked in, her coworkers greeted her with warm hugs.  It felt nice.

Then in came the patients. That's when things changed.

"Oh Ms. Lange!  You've had your baby!  How is he?!  I want to know everything!"

Jessica felt her entire body become hot and sweaty.  She froze. She didn't know how to answer.

"Uh.. I.."

"He's what?  About two months now?"

Tear immediately filled her eyes and her breathing became heavy.

"I— I'm gonna be sick."

Her friend immediately ran over when noticing Jessica's state.
She quickly took her away from the situation and another girl explained to the intrigued woman.

Chloe sat Jessica down in the break room.
Jessica couldn't even catch her breath in that moment.  She then reached for a nearby trash can and starting throwing up.

"It's okay..
It's okay, Jess." Chloe said in tears as she rubbed her friend's back.

"No it's not!" Jessica screams.
"It will never be okay again!  My baby is gone and nothing is normal!"

"I know.. I'm so sorry.  Just let it out, hun."

Once Jessica empties her stomach she wipes her cheeks and cries hard.

"I'm so sorry!" She says to her friend.

"Sweetie, don't be!  I can't even imagine.. I just want you to be okay."

Jessica scoff and gives Chloe the smallest smile before she stands up.

"I don't think I'll ever be—" Jessica says just as she faints.

Chloe quickly grabbed her before she hit the floor.
"Doctor!  Someone get the doctor! HURRY!" She shouts.
