Chapter 6: Truths Revealed

The next morning, Hawk had gotten Ruby to make a run into Vale so she could pick up some cookies. On the way, Ruby has told him about her and Weiss coming to an understanding and becoming friends.

Winter: "Thank Oum for that. Maybe Weiss can be easier to get along with now."

Summer: "Not that you seem to need help, eh brother?"

Hawk raised an eyebrow as Ruby ran through the bakery with stars in her eyes.

Hawk: "What's that supposed to mean?"

Autumn: "Oh, I think you know exactly what we mean."

Spring started giggling before she went into a song.

Spring: "Weiss and Hawk, sitting in the tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!"

Hawk felt his face flush and could mentally see his sisters laughing at the reaction.

Hawk: "I... It's... I hate you girls..."

He sighed in defeat but the laughter in his head only increased.

S.S.A.W: "We love you too brother!"

Hawk groaned out loud which caught Ruby's attention, as she carried an armful of cookies.

Ruby: "What's wrong Hawk?"

He perked up and motioned to the cookies.

Hawk: "You are gonna bleed me dry with your cookie addiction Ruby! Are you even gonna be able to eat all of those!"

Ruby gave a confident smirk as the cashier began calculating the price.

Ruby: "Pffff! You underestimate me my dear cousin!"

Hawk rolled his eyes, but as promised he payed for the cookies. Even though he probably burned through most of the money he brought to Vale for the day. As soon as he handed her the bag of cookies, Ruby let out a squeal and disappeared from the store. Leaving behind only some stray rose petals.

Hawk: "H-Hey! Ruby! Wait up!"

He sprinted after her, following the rose petals and cookie crumbs all the way back to the airship. Ruby was already sitting in her seat happily munching on a monster sized cookie.

Hawk: "Next time, I hope you'll be more patient so I can actually walk with you."

He muttered as he sat across from her. Ruby beamed as she looked up with big eyes.

Ruby: "NEXT TIME?! ARE YOU GONNA TAKE ME FOR COOKIES AGAIN?!"

Hawk: "NOT FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR!"

Time skip thanks- AHHH!! (Ruby sprints in with her bag of cookies and knocks me flying out of my chair!) "RUBY?! NO BREAKING FOURTH WALLS!!!"

Hawk: "Thank Oum she's Yang's problem now."

Autumn: "So, are we going to talk to Blake?"

Hawk furrowed his brow in thought, debating how that conversation could go. On one hand, she'd be happy to talk about the real version of herself. Or she could be furious and lash out about him learning who she is.

Hawk: "Tough call. I'm not sure what she would do if she learned I found out."

Spring: "Maybe we should wait then? We haven't gotten to know her that well."

Summer: "But if she learns that we knew and was lying about not knowing. She could lose her trust with you."

Winter: "It's your call brother. Just be careful with whatever you plan on doing."
