It's been two days since the battle at the docks and when Hawk told RWBY about his sisters. Now, the semester had finished and it was time for the break. Most of the students were making plans to go back to their homes to visit their families.

Ruby, Yang, Blake, and Weiss all agreed to stay in Beacon for the break along with JNPR and Hawk. Ruby had gathered all of them in the cafeteria and were in the steps of making some plans for what to do during the break. So far it included training, partying, shopping for cookies, and baking pancakes. Hawk smirked as Ruby and Nora were arguing which one should come first. Weiss was sitting with him rolling her eyes at the childish antics. Yang and Jaune were standing with their respective teammate, fighting for their side of the argument. Ren, Blake, and Pyrrha were sitting in their seats facepalming at the discussion.

Nora: "Give in Ruby! Pancakes are way more fluffier than a cookie! Especially when Hawk and Ren cook them!"

Ruby: "Cookies are way more tastier and can have so many different flavours! Your pancakes only have one! We need cookies!!"

The argument stopped when Hawk's scroll started beeping in his pocket. Hawk pulled out and opened his scroll reading the message silently.

Weiss: "What is it?"

Hawk: "Professor Ozpin wants to see me. Says it's urgent."

Yang: "Your father? What could be so urgent?"

JNPR: "Your father?!"

Yang winced under Hawk's glare about her breaking the secret. Hawk had mentioned he only wanted to tell them his secret and wait for a bit before telling JNPR. He sighed as he stood up and gave a quick kiss to Weiss.

Hawk: "You girls can explain everything. I need to go."

With that, Hawk left the cafeteria and headed towards the tower.

Meanwhile, Ozpin and Goodwitch were in his office waiting for Hawk to arrive. Goodwitch kept pacing and shaking her head.

Glynda: "Professor. I don't like this idea. We can't send Hawk to that island! He will be in constant danger from everyone."

Ozpin sipped his coffee and nodded.

Ozpin: "I understand your concern Glynda. However, Hawk is the best suited to go with all of our huntsmen busy on other missions."

Goodwitch was about to give a retort when the elevator dinged. The doors opened and Hawk walked over to the two professors.

Hawk: "You needed me sir?"

Ozpin nodded and Goodwitch huffed marching out of the office. Hawk watched her leave as he sat down. Ozpin slid over a cup for him before interlocking his fingers and rested his chin against his hands.

Ozpin: "Hawk. I need you for a mission that you'll be the only one to accomplish. It will be relatively easy, but the environment will be hostile towards you. I need you to get a message from me to the chief of Menagerie."

Hawk choked up on his coffee, quickly setting down the glass.

Hawk: "Menagerie?! But it's forbidden for humans to set foot on the island!"

Ozpin nodded still looking as serious as normal.

Ozpin: "I know son. But I believe you'll have an advantage due to your 'ability'. You'll be perfectly safe, I promise. I already asked the chief and, while reluctant, gave permission for you to go."

Hawk sat still in his chair, thinking how crazy this plan would be.

Hawk: "When do I need to go?"
