Goku X Vegeta Oneshots

Sleepy

*Just a little quickie!*

Goku smiled softly, absently rubbing the edge of his phone as Vegeta talked quietly over the line. He liked these late-night calls. Vegeta was more open when he was tired, around him anyway. At the moment, Vegeta's mumbling was about Goku himself.

"You're something else, you know? You're weird for a Saiyan, you're weird for a human. You don't really have your own clique and it's kind of nice. I dunno." Vegeta shifted a bit and sighed tiredly. "I like that you let me do stuff like this with you. I don't talk much to anybody but you. I tell you basically everything. And you're such a good listener. It's almost like I'm talking to a puppy or something. You listen and you don't talk. That's nice."

Goku out a hand over his mouth, smiling broadly. Vegeta was adorable when he was tired!

"There's a lot about you I like, really," Vegeta went on. Goku listened more intently. Did... Did Vegeta realize what exactly he was saying? "I like how tall you are, and I kinda like it when you pick me up. I bet you give great hugs. You're all warm and it's nice to see your eyes up close now and then..."

Goku held his breath. Vegeta muttered more indistinctly, then snorted sudden. "Mm? Kakarrot, are you still on?" His voice sounded clearer.

"Yeah, I'm here," Goku replied. He smiled.

"Sorry about that; I fell asleep."

Goku raised his brows. "Oh? You've been talking for the past five minutes."

Vegeta went quiet. "Oh gods. What did I say?" Goku laughed and Vegeta spoke harsher. "What did I say!?"

"Hey, chill out, it's not like you gave a love confession or anything." Goku noted Vegeta's awkward silence at his choice of words and went on. "You were just talking about how weird I am, and that I was a good listener. I think you compared me to a puppy."

"Well, you act like a dog." Vegeta fell quiet again. "Are you sure I didn't say anything... I don't know, weird?"

Goku smiled. "Not a thing, Vegeta."
