Goku X Vegeta Oneshots

Moon Shadow

*Not exactly a Kakavege oneshot. Kind of a... I dunno, a Vegeta liking himself for once kinda thing.*

Earth had a beautiful moon. It wasn't nearly as large nor nearly as powerful as even Vegeta-sei's smaller lunar body, but it was a tiny version of it, if a bit paler.

Vegeta sat up on the Lookout, meditating in the moon's soothing light. For the first time in a long time, he felt totally relaxed and comfortable. Perhaps it was his current location, perhaps it was the strange ring that sat on the third finger of his left hand that Kakarrot had just given him earlier that day...

Oh, there was no telling.

Vegeta shifted so that his back now faced the moon and opened slightly heavy eyes to examine the stark shadow that the silver light brought into being. He smiled, moving his arm and head to make his shadow move as well.

"She is our light, Vegeta, and we her shadow. That's why my father and all those before him bear our names. Begeta is moonlight and carries the name of it. We are her moon shadow, cub, always behind her and ready to overpower any that would dare stand in her way. And we are everywhere, for when the moon reigns, there is no killing a shadow."

Vegeta purred softly at the memory. It was one of few things in his past he could recall without a flinch of fear or a tear in his eye. He twisted his upper half so that he could again bask in the moonlight. Gods, he could stay there forever, half hypnotized by the faint waves coming off the moon's surface. It wasn't enough to initiate a transformation- and certainly not without his tail- but it still brought that intoxicating rush that was somewhere between bloodlust and an almost complete inability to move.

He found himself nodding off several times and had to laugh. It wouldn't be the first time he'd fallen asleep in the light of the moon. Not really feeling an urge to fight the oncoming somnolence, he rested on his back still letting the light fall on his face, and he fell into a peaceful sleep.

*Someone else needs to fall into a peaceful sleep as well but NOOO.....*
