500 votes for a new chapter and i actually won't update till it gets to 500 votes

after the party my dad threw everyone left and my dad has a few of his friends stay the night so they can all go out tomorrow to Seattle

i decided to not go with them, they'll be gone for a few days which means i have the house to myself

now i'm in the car with joey, he's driving to the beach. i decided to wear my jeans and a black sweater i bought in highschool

he's wearing a white tee with a jean flannel and black jeans making me feel bad for not coming dressed a little nicer

i hope he isn't mad that i came dressed as a bum, it is our first time hanging after almost 2 years

the car ride was short since i live 10 minutes away from the beach

he opens the car door for me and i thank him, he brought us to the pier, the one where i was suppose to bring him a few years ago

"is it your first time here?" i ask him and he shakes his head

"no, i came here with a friend a couple times now" he chuckles

"sorry for not coming dressed" i tell him

"don't worry about it kels" he smiles at me and we begin to walk

the suns out and it's a bit cold but i can bear through it. the weather is actually great

"want ice cream?" he ask

we stop at a ice cream shop and i peek my head through, "not really, you?"

"no" he shrugs his shoulders, "but i am hungry we should go get some food"

"yea" i press my lips together, this is a bit awkward

"i already reserved a spot for us at a restaurant right over there" he points

the restaurant is huge with a group of people surrounding it, it has a beautiful view of the ocean, "wow"

"let's go" he says

i follow behind him to the restaurant and we push our way through people

he gives his name and in less than 2 minutes we are seated at our table, the view was beautiful and it was private

it wasn't crowded in the back which was a good thing, we both order off the menu and patiently wait for our food

"so how's college?" he ask

i look up at him, "it's great actually"

"tell me about it" he says

"oh, um, the people are sweet and i made a lot of new people who are probably the greatest people ever. it's really fun" i truthfully tell him

the waiter comes back with our drinks and bread and butter, we both thank him

"how's WSC" i take a sip from my drink

"nothing's changed, classes got harder, people are still stuck up around there. some old" he shrugs his shoulders

"are you still with lily?" i know he isn't i just wanted to hear him say he isn't

he clears his throat, "no, we ended things a long time ago"

"have you seen anyone new?" we both say in sync and then laugh

"you first" he says

"um, not really. i dated a guy named tyler for like 3 months but it just didn't work out, you?"
