i cant imagine what she must be going through. she's stopped crying, she's in complete shock
she wraps her arm around my waist and i tighten my grip around her
i leave kisses on her head to calm her breathing. i notice her eyes start to shut, "don't sleep kels"
"let her sleep" jacob says, staring me down through the car mirror
i begged him to drive the car so i can comfort kels
"keep your eyes on the road" i bite back at him
jacob is too defensive over kelsey, she's not a child anymore
we finally reach my place, took about 20 minutes to get there because jacob didn't want to press on the pedal
kelsey fell asleep in my arms and i don't want to move to wake her up
jacob opens the car door for me, "do you need help
lifting her up?"
"what? no i don't need help" i scoff
"well you seem like you lost some gains-"
"why don't you shut up jacob" i stare at him, "it's not a good time to be making fun of me right now"
i carefully lift kelseys legs and pick her up bridal style again, making my way to the front door
jacob kindly opens the door for me and gasp when he sees the mess. i haven't bothered to clean the place. sophia did try to help but i still have broken glass everywhere
"this isn't a good place for her to be" jacob locks the door behind me
i make my way into the living room and gently lay her down on the couch. i grab a blanket and cover her fragile body
i move pieces of her hair away from her face and stare at her
i know she's in so much pain. her dad is her best friend, he was the kindest guy i knew. i can't imagine how hurt she is right now
i hear jacob rustling through my things and i ignore it. he's probably trying to find the bathroom, "shit!" i hear him whisper
i sit on the floor next to the couch and take a deep breath
"cynthia called! they got into a car accident" sophia yells at me over the phone
i pull myself out the bed from some chic i just met, "is kelsey okay? where is she?"
"i-i don't know, lily is telling me that jacob is on his way" her voice starts to shake
i immediately put my clothes on and run out the room and look for sophia
there was tons of heads in the room, hundreds of girls with blonde hair. i'm never going to find sophia
all i care about is if kelsey is okay. i leave the house and call jacob and he's quick to answer
"send me the address right now" i tell him and he does
