a weird week

Tuesday

I must have been tired because the next thing I knew I was being woken up by the alarm on my phone tucked up in my bed. I was so confused by what had happened because I was wearing just an oversized t-shirt and panties and that was not what I fell asleep in. Skylar had probably got me changed as I slept.

Bless her she was an angel!

The day quickly turned into bloody Groundhog Day. 25 minutes before opening the bell on the door rang and those shimmering blue eyes peered at me. The arsehole from yesterday smirked at me and took the same seat at the bar again.

I couldn't be bothered to ask what he wanted so I quickly made a large black coffee and slid it towards him, plastering the fakest yet sweetest smile I could muster whilst putting my hand out for the money.

"Good morning Eden" don't say my name, definitely not like that.  I chanted in my head hoping that if I repeated it enough it wouldn't sound so good.

His deep rich voice was like the deep black coffee he drank and it made my mouth dry.

"4.95" literally that was all I managed to say.

My mouth felt like sandpaper, I grabbed a bottle of chilled water and downed half of it in one ungraceful gulp.

"Thirsty?" He raised an eyebrow at me, his eyes glinted with amusement like he knew exactly what he was doing to me. Arsehole!

"4.95" apparently I was a robot now and couldn't form actual sentences which made me feel even more embarrassed. Especially in front of this stupid asshat.

"See you soon Eden"

stop saying my name like that, I changed again in my head!

Being the pig that he was he did the exact same thing as yesterday. His fingertips grazed mine as he placed the note in my hand. It was like he carried some odd electric charge that he had zapped me with.

Then he was gone again like a phantom.

Wednesday

I snoozed my alarm clock 3 times this morning.

Not because I went back to sleep. No, I wasn't that lucky because my brain was going crazy as I tried to figure out who the hell this mystery man was that seemed to be playing some sort of game with me in which I was his daily dose of amusement.

I hated the way he made me feel.

I hated the way my body melted just by the way he looked at me. Every time  he said my name I swear to the goddess my knees felt so weak I had to use the counter to steady me.

I hated him. Kinda.

Maybe if I left a bit later and arrived just before opening time at 8.30 he'd of been and gone and left me to go about my day as unflustered as possible.

Fuck .fuck . fuck and fuck.

I pulled the car up at my usual spot and there he was in all his perfection leaning against the wall. His muscles bulged against his white t-shirt which left a clean outline of every curve of that body.

no ... oh no I am not looking at his muscles. No no no. Well yeh. Kinda. Shit. Why was he so hot?

I twisted over to the passenger foot well to grab my bag and jumped when my door opened and that cinnamon and spice smell flooded in and made me feel light headed.
