Eden broke from the small crowd we'd made about ten metres from Mia and beside her stood a tall dark haired man. Their arms were interlinked and the closeness was clear.

Jealousy flared up deep inside me and I fought hard to hold back from ripping him away from her but Jace let his similar feelings be known, a low growl rumbled from his chest and he turned away to avoid his emotions being pushed to the point of breaking.

"What about me?" Marco asked Mia in a soft, sincere voice.

Mia locked eyes with him and after a few moments of confusion her eyes widened and her mouth dropped open in recognition. "Marco?" She uttered his name like she was fearful saying it outloud would make him vanish.

"Hello, Amelia" was his simple response. Eden removed her arm from his and stepped back to give them some space. I was instantly relieved that they weren't so close.

Marco kept his feelings well hidden from her, but under that calm, composed manner I could sense his disdain, disappointment and disgust towards her as it festered like a living being.

It had been growing for all the years, ever  since his big sister had abandoned him. His hands twitched repeatedly, a sign of how hard he had been working to maintain such a false pretence. Marco curled them into fists at his sides and I could tell that his thoughts leant towards violence.

"Wow. It's been such a long time. I am so pleased to see you" Mia remarked lightly.

It was like they'd just bumped into each other at the supermarket. Her mind was so fractured she could flip from light and breezy to murderous in seconds.

"I was just a little kid when you last saw me" Marco pointed out bluntly and the mask Mia had on began to break. "When you left"

"Our parents left us. They died and left us. I was a little kid too. Why are you with them anyway? You know it was him that murdered our parents right? He knew we were all in that building and he set it alight anyway" she couldn't point a finger to accuse me but she tipped her chin in my direction and narrowed her eyes at me.

"That's not what happened you lying bitch. Blake would never harm someone on purpose" Eden bolted at Mia and got right in her face. "Traitor" she added before she punched Mia square in the nose and an awful crunch occurred within Mias wails of pain. A little smile crept into my face at the way Eden sprung to my defence. I couldn't help it, the fact that she believed me without a doubt meant so much to me.

Mia flailed against her restraints and jerked her head back which suggested she planned on head butting Eden in retaliation. Eden didn't need me to step in at that point so I stayed rooted to the spot and watched.

Marco swiftly pulled Eden out of harm's way and as his sister slammed her head forwards she was met with his fists instead. He hadn't punched her but held his fists in the air right where Mia had expected Eden's face to be.

Mias left cheek bone broke upon impact and both of her lips split open and she bit her tongue in the process which meant extra blood. All of which made me feel hungry as fuck. "What... What did you do? I'm your sister. Why? I'm your sister Marco" Mias pained cries were a beautiful symphony to our ears.

She had betrayed us all in one way or another and none of us had any sympathy for her. That ship had sailed a long time again. Mia stopped sobbing and had a realisation of her own. "Wait a second. How did you? How are you? What did they do? What are you Marco?" She tilted her head from side to side as she analysed her brother with a hint of accusation in her voice.

"I'm everything I ever wanted to be. I have a beautiful, strong and kind mate. My best friend is also my sire and I have been welcomed into the most wonderful group of people who care so much about me. I finally have a family. How about you sister? What do you have?" Marco stood tall and proud as he elongaged his fangs and smirked at his sack of shit sister.
