Four years later

Eden PoV

This was ridiculous and I was so over it already I thought to myself as I waddled out of the packhouse in a manner that I was certain made me look like a penguin.

"Never again" I muttered under my breath as I crossed the porch.

"Let's go get em" Jace laughed as he jogged down the steps and out onto the grassy area that sat in front of our home.

"Not a chance" Blake stated as he followed close behind Jace.

"I wouldn't be so sure of yourself man" Jace snorted back at him. He shook his head at Blake then bent down and gently ruffled Killians light blonde hair.

Killian giggled and tried to wriggle out of his dad's reach.

He managed to get the football out of Jace's hand too and he made a run for it as quick as his little legs could take him.

"Oh that was a smooth move,Killian. Nice work buddy!" Jace praised our son and the smile that stretched across Killians face showed how happy he was to get such positive words.

Killian loved making people happy and if he did something that impressed them or made them proud at the same time, well let's just say he'd be bouncing off of the walls with joy.

Blake was crouched down tying up Quinns shoelaces and I couldn't help but notice how the sunlight glistened down on his deep chocolate wavy locks.

As I got closer to my family I noticed that Quinns gaze was fixated on the thick group trees that lined the lane easily from the main entrance to the pack grounds

As I got closer to my family I noticed that Quinns gaze was fixated on the thick group trees that lined the lane easily from the main entrance to the pack grounds.

"Hey baby are you okay?" I lightly touched his shoulder and lent down as far as I could.

Quinn literally jumped and turned to me with wide eyes. "Mummy, why are you with uncle Ro?" He questioned with a concerned look etched on his cute face.

"Mummy's right here little man" Blake looked up at me and frowned.

"I know but I can see here over at the trees too with uncle Ro" Quinn said with a frustrated tone. His purple eyes darted between me and the tree line.

"Quinn, baby tell me what the other mummy and uncle Ro are doing?" My mind had begun to piece together things but how it was possible was beyond me.

"They are talking but they are staring at us. She looks sad. Frightened too. I think Uncle Ro scared her" Quinn, my extremely intelligent 4 year old explained.

"Look at me Quinn. It's okay they can't hurt you" I promised my son and yet he frowned at me and growled in a low little noise that was more purr than growl really.

"You don't believe me" he accused me and stomped his foot in frustration.

"I believe you baby. I do" and I did.
