Amara PoV

The moment I left Jaces pack territory I'd been overwhelmed with the strangest feeling.

It was like an invisible rope had tethered me to the land or perhaps even someone that resided there, the further along the route that would lead the innocent people to safety, the more intense the tugging on me became.

We had all agreed that I when the pack evacuated over the weekend I would stay within the safe haven that a friend of Jace's had offered.

I had headed out this evening to place charm spells along the route in the hope that everything, even the smallest of things I could do would mean that the move from Jace's pack to his friends would be as safe as supernaturally possible.

I had made my way to the pack that were offering sanctuary but something made me feel like that was not where I should be. In fact I had a strange feeling ever since I left Silverhaven land that left me rather perplexed.

The longer I stayed away, the greater that feeling grew.

I was just outside of the packhouse when a petite young woman approached me, a lilac aura framed her being which told me that she was like me, much younger and not as experienced as myself though.

Those things only came with time and practice, but it felt good to find a like minded person after living amongst wolves and vampires all this time.

"You must be Amara. Our alpha Clinton told me you'd be stopping by this evening" the woman greeted me and held out her hand which I shook softly, slightly surprised by the power that ran through her.

"It's so kind of your alpha and the pack to give these innocent people somewhere safe to stay until things are over. Eden was adamant that no one that wasn't directly involved in this matter came to any harm"

"Well Eden sounds like an amazing Luna. I'd love to meet her one day" the Raven haired young lady replied sincerely.

She hadn't told me who she was, but I could feel it in her spirit that she was a hybrid too. A wolf and a witch. Eden and her would get on well, they had so much in common.

"I'm Fallon by the way. Alpha Clinton wouldn't be too happy with me saying this, but if you need to go back to help Eden and Jace, I can protect your people. They'd be foolish to try but it wouldn't be anything I couldn't handle" she winked and her eyes twinkled with both pride and hope of a little bit of excitement.

"I can sense that, I'd be very grateful for your help, there's this feeling I can't shake that's pulling me back to the pack. I don't understand it but it's so strong that I know I have to follow it" I mused out loud, more to myself than Fallon but she nodded in understanding.

"Amara,I can sense it too and we both know that's it's a powerful pull that shouldn't be ignored. You go and do what you need to do. I've got this, I promise" Fallon assured me, she sounded far wiser than her years.

She reminded me so much of someone from my past and I couldn't help but let the ghost of a smile fall across my lips.

"Thank you, but please don't underestimate these people. None of us are sure of their abilities and who they have within their command. Be prepared for anything" as I spoke it was as if the link between myself and Jace's pack was tightening,it was hard to maintain my stance and keep still as it tried to draw me backwards.

"Amara, I don't mean to bring up old wounds but I heard about what happened to Eliza. I'm so sorry" The sound of that name spoken out loud was like a knife tearing through my chest and stabbing me in the heart over and over again as the name echoed in my mind.
