The pitch black hair teen blankly stood in the pouring rain, blankly staring at the grave before him. His eyes endlessly scanning the name and date of death. "It should've been me" the only thing that raced through his head. His dull crimson eyes were seemingly dry from lack of feeling.

The broken male continued to stand in the rain, silently begging for this all to be some twisted nightmare. He quickly glanced down at his own body, looking at the lack of injury he should've sustained in the blaze. "Why was I the lucky one!?" He mentally screamed. "Y-You should've been the one that lived" he mutter in his own sorrow.

The people at the funeral were slowly moving away from the cemetery, leaving only his brother, father, mother, uncle and a few other individuals that decided to show up. Adiran barely noticed the people around him, the "honorable" guests, 'Endeavor' and 'All Might', who were there to pay their respects to the family of the no.3 and 4 heroes.

The boy felt utterly guilty, he believe she shouldn't have died, but it should've been him.
The current racing thoughts of his guilt were interrupted by a large hand being placed in his shoulder. From the grasp, he could tell it was his father. "I'm sorry..." Adiran lowly whispered in emotional turmoil. His father gently wrapped one hand around his son's head and pulled him close for a comforting embrace. "You have nothing to apologise for. This wasn't your fault." The man comforted to his now trembling son. "But I was the reason we were there in the first place"

Adiran didn't move, he allowed himself a small moment of weakness and let his father's embrace not let him feel alone. Even though he believed it was his fault.

As his father slowly pulled him away from the grave, he could only blame himself for the event. His sister's death honestly had nothing to do with him. A gas leak allowed the building to catch fire and explode, while Adiran and Rein were inside. The blast apparently threw him into a corner, making him safe from the initial flames. His parents hadn't told him anything about the crime scene but he could tell they were hiding something. "If only I didn't want to see her lab. She would be breathing. Mom wouldn't be broken, Dad would have his smile, Ash would still have his sister. I am the burden that got my sister killed..." Adiran continued to blame only himself and nothing else.

The young teen's thoughts traveled back to that night. The night he should've died, instead of his eldest sister.

(Flashback: 1 Month Ago)

"Here were are!" Rein happily announced, as she lead her youngest brother into her laboratory. "Whoa...This is neat sis" Adiran excitedly admitted. "So...You like it?" She curiously asked. The young teen scoffed, "Do I like it? Bitch please...This place is awesome" he cheered, right before getting a light slap on the back of the head, "Language" his sister sternly ordered. "Coming from you" Adiran implied his sister's own habits with course language. "I'm an adult. You are but a child." She joked. Causing the younger sibling to roll his eyes.

Rein quickly jumped into a more excitable mood, "Do you want to look at our cool equipment?" She cooed, "Hell. Yes," Adrian had the glint of an excited child in his eyes, ready to play with all the new toys. Rein pulled him over to a Bunsen Burner and pulled out a small piece of magnesium, "Do you know what happens when magnesium is set alight?" Rein teasingly asked, obviously about to demonstrate. "It causes a flammable reaction" her younger brother easily answered. Rein nodded and moved her hand towards the burner and reached for the matches. "Do you smell something?" Adrian questioned the aroma in the air. "Nope...Nothing but lab chemicals" Rein sarcastically joked.

Adrian grew uneasy, his body felt cold, like something going to happen. His gaze quickly glanced out the window, to see a dark feathered owl, staring directly at him. The smell intensified, it was....gas.
