Family Get Together...(37)

(Adrian's POV)

I was currently getting dressed in somewhat appropriate clothes. Tonight Dad wanted to invite Midnight, Ash, Kana (Ash's Girlfriend) and I was allowed to invite Katsuki.

It was two days after the final exams, so Summer Break has officially started and I am ready to fucking party.

Not really...

We have to go back to school to find out our results and then talk about the training camp.

Why am I thinking about this? I have the get ready.

I quickly got dressed, spraying some cologne, and using my grey style. Katsuki is coming over and I really want to look nice.

I walked downstairs and saw my Dad finishing up on setting the table. I looked at Midnight, who came up and kissed my Dad on the cheek.

I'm glad it isn't as weird as it used to be. She hasn't really come over much, but I guess I'm prepared, I can actually find them adorable.

Dad has been visibly happier recently. But I still have no idea why he wanted this family dinner. It was kind of sudden.

(Flashback)

I walked out of school, my Dad was driving me home today and Katsuki was still somewhat recovering from his injuries.

As we were driving, Dad seemed to be in his head. Something was on his mind. The frown was one of both worry and puzzle. "Adrian..." I hummed in response.

"I'm thinking about having a family get together. I'll invite Ash and Nemuri, you can invite Bakugo. Ash will probably bring Kana"

Where was this coming from?...

"I just think that we haven't really had the time or given ourselves the opportunity to be with the people we care about" I smiled at my father. He wanted to do something, that he hasn't experience for almost a full year.

"I would like that..." Dinner with everyone would be nice. Maybe that is what I need. Something nice and calm to ease my mind.

Maybe that is all I need to crack that stupid riddle. A clear mind.

(Flashback End)

I heard the doorbell, "I'll get it!" I called out, walking to the door. I opened the door, to see Ash and Kana.

"Hey! There he is!" Ash hugged me, he was slightly taller than me. I then got a hug from Kana. "Look at you. You've grown" she said.

I chuckled, I have grown.

To be honest, I've always liked Kana. She was smart, cheerful, and made Ash happy. After Mom and Dad got divorced, I based the idea on what the meaning of love is, on their relationship.

But I now know, it is different for every person and the love I've found is so worth it.

Ash and Kana walked further into the house, greeting my Dad and Nemuri. Kana has always been a fan. She was inspired by Nemuri's grit and strong standpoint on girl power.

That's where Kana and I can agree. Everyone and anyone can be powerful. Quirks don't define strength. Because in the end, physical attributes pale to personality and willpower.

After a few minutes, the doorbell was rung again. I opened the door to see Katsuki. He was slightly smiling and he looked really good.

His gaze drifted up and down, I quirked an eyebrow. "What is it?..."

He cleared his throat, "Y-you... Um... You look nice" He blushed slightly, not knowing what to say. I chuckled, "You look really good to" he was wearing caramel chinos, a buttoned-up collared shirt which had short sleeves. He cleaned up really nice. He had an overnight bag because I didn't want him walking in the dark fields at night.
