The Last Autumn Leaf...

(Adrian's POV)

A full week had passed since the battle my Dad had with the gigantic shadow creature. One week since he told me what my Aspect was... Even though Dad told me that much, he was still hiding something from me and I'm starting to suspect that Katsuki recognises what my Dad was doing. 

After my Dad was released from the hospital, he wanted to have a family dinner like before. Just Dad, Nemuri, Ash, Kana, Katsuki, and me. Dad invited Mitsuki and Masru but I don't know if they accepted the invites, I guess I'll figure it out when they arrive tonight. 

I ran around the house, pulling various forms of clothes out of my closet. Eventually, settling on an outfit, I finally joined Nemuri in the kitchen. She and I were cooking because Dad was being forced to rest for another week. That stubborn old man doesn't listen. I have caught him working more times than I should've...

The first to arrive was Ash and Kana, as they walked in, I saw something on Ash's eyebrow. It was a deep cut that was in the middle of healing but it was slow. "What happened?" Dad asked with his fatherly concern. Ash shrugged, "Its nothing... Just tripped and hit my head" He dismissed casually. "Why isn't it healing?" Slipped out of my mouth. 

"Remember... I don't use my abilities. My healing isn't as advanced as yours" He reminded and I only nodded. Soon enough we heard a knock on the door. I stood up and started walking, "I'll get it... Make sure the Old Man doesn't do anything" I warned as I stepped down the hall. 

My hand reached for the door handle, my skin caressed the cold metallic material, twisting fully. The door slowly wung open to see Katsuki, along with Mitsuki and Masaru. "Hello... Welcome to my... Uh... Humble?... Welcome" Mitsuki snickered at my stupidity. "That really fell apart on you, didn't it?" She said. "Yeah..." 

"Come in!" I perked up quickly, inviting them inside. The adults stepped past and inside for introduction while Katsuki stopped in front of me. Gently slipping our hands together with the softest and most unnoticable smile that could only be seen from my frame of reference. "Hey..." He whispered. "Missed you" I leaned in and we shared a gentle kiss. 

We hadn't seen much of each other this past week, I'd been at the hospital and at home with Dad, taking some time off school. We separated allowing me to notice an overnight bag that I said he could pack. "Missed you too, Coffee Bean" 

His endearing words only gave me more reason to love him. "Let's go" We walked out into the living room, I witnessed Mitsuki and Masaru introducing themselves to Ash and Kana. My Dad already met them when I kinda died and Nemuri was well... She is known by Mitsuki due to her being a fan of MIdnight. 

She is a queen! Accept it!

Nope... Never... She is a powerful woman but I'm not joining in on your childish tendencies...

That is a lie and you know it... You are just as childish...

Dinner was soon served and we all sat in various spots, everyone was next to their partner. The food was good, Nemuri and I make a mean team in the kitchen. There were casual conversation thrown around, the parentals had various discussions and some questions about Dad's injuries but just like me, he has regenative abilities. 

The only thing that'll really scar is the cut on his lef eyebrow and the stab wound that was located lower left abdomen. The only reason he scars in because a creature of shadow attacked him, that means somebody from Mom's family. I don't scar because I have both traits of light and dark and mundane things can't do that.
