ALEJANDRO'S POV:

I woke up the next morning with Liv cuddled up next to me. I reached over to grab my phone, and saw countless messages from Kairi on it.

Kairi - Get to the house now

Kairi - Mattia's gone crazy

Kairi - Since when is Liv your girlfriend? One of you should've at least told us

Kairi - Might not be the best idea to come home actually

I rolled my eyes at the texts, turning my phone off. Mattia always has a problem with me and Liv. But I could easily sense that something was still there between them, and it hurt.

"Hey you" I said, kissing Liv's head as her eyes flickered open. She smiled and wrapped an arm around my chest.

"Good morning"

I looked around the room and saw my jacket on the floor. Mattia wasn't that big of a threat to me, we were practically brothers. I looked back at Liv who was still half asleep and carefully got out of bed.

"Don't go" she murmured, her eyes still shut. I sighed putting on my jacket and shoes.

"Just come over soon" I said, leaning down to kiss her forehead before leaving.

-

I walked through the front door and went straight to my room. I got ready and freshened up before ringing the bell for our butler. I wasn't in the best mood to see either of the boys right now. I waited a while but no one came, resulting in me ringing the bell again. Soon enough there was a knock at the door and one of the butlers hurried in.

"What took you so long?" I asked, but he frowned, his gaze fixated on the ground.

"I'm afraid Mr Polibio has cut off all your privileges, we are no longer allowed to serve you"

I held in my laugh as I shook my head. I knew it was Mattia, his Dad was never that petty. I shrugged my shoulders and stood up.

"That's great, I'll speak to him"

"I don't think that would be such a good idea, sir"

"Why? Is he drunk?"

"He was for the majority of last night, but now I think he's in an extremely bad mood, and I feel as though your presence would only provoke him"

I brushed past him, ignoring his warnings. I walked over to Mattia's room, and the smell of whisky hit me before I even touched the doorknob. I opened the door to see him lying in bed, sound asleep with his phone in his hand. Clothes were scattered around everywhere, it was like someone had robbed the place. I shook my head and glanced at his phone, seeing a faint 'L'.

I gently plucked it from his hand, not wanting to wake him. Just as I had suspected, he was texting Liv. Except she wasn't giving him the same energy back.

Mattia - We can work something out, stop being so difficult all the time

Liv - There's nothing to work out if there's nothing between us

Mattia - So when we had sex yesterday, that meant nothing?

My jaw dropped open after reading it, and I looked at Mattia, lying there so innocently. Anger filled every inch of me. He could never be happy for me. Being second in command always left me in this position. I was always second, I was never allowed to have something Mattia wanted, I was always below.
I fought the urge to pull a gun on Mattia right there, and instead read the rest of the conversation.

Liv - What we did was wrong, it never should've happened, I'm with Alejandro and we're happy, learn to accept that

A small smile appeared on my face when she mentioned me amidst their argument. But it soon faded, it still didn't defeat the fact that she'd cheated. She'd given me trust issues. As much as I wanted to stay with her, I was just going to end up getting hurt.

Mattia - But it's so obvious that there's something between us, and I know you can see that too

Liv - You disrespected me enough times already, I don't need that in my life

Mattia - I'm sorry Liv

Liv - It's Olivia. I take accountability for what happened last night, I played a part in it too. But at the end of the day, my loyalties lie with Alejandro, and I've already hurt him enough by doing what I did

Mattia - Yeah I'm not reading all that

Liv - In simpler words, we're nothing more than friends now

Mattia - Friends don't have sex

Liv - I'm done giving you my time. Goodnight.

Mattia - I'm kidding

Mattia - Liv answer me

Mattia - I'll call you tomorrow

Mattia - Okay, night

There were no messages after that. I sighed and placed the phone back into Mattia's hand. I couldn't think straight after reading all that.

Liv was giving me mixed signals, and that same bad idea kept popping up in my head. I walked out of Mattia's room and closed the door when I heard someone knock on the front door.

I made my way downstairs and opened the door to see Liv standing there with my blue nike hoodie and a pair of sweats. She still looked beautiful, even in the mornings. Even though I was hurt, I still couldn't help but smile when I saw her.

"You came over" I grinned, taking her hand and pulling her towards me. She blushed and placed her hands on my chest, delicately kissing my cheek.

"I missed you"

But then something went off in me. It was that bad idea. I wanted to tell Liv about it. But I kept my lips firmly shut and instead closed the door behind her.

"I missed you too" I said quickly, walking us towards the cinema room. I heard a bedroom door open and we looked up before entering the basement. Kairi was rubbing his eye as he looked back at us. He immediately facepalmed when he saw Liv stood next to me.

"Morning Kairi" she said brightly, ignoring his usual attitude whenever he saw her.

"You know you shouldn't be here" he replied, running a hand through his bed head. I felt Liv's grip on my hand tighten as we heard footsteps from Mattia's room.

"It's not your business whether she comes over or not" I shot back. Kairi shrugged his shoulders and muttered something under his breath before walking into the bathroom. I rolled my eyes and lead Liv downstairs before anyone else could say something.

"They really hate me here, huh?" she frowned, taking a seat on one of the couches. I filled up a bowl with popcorn and went to sit next to her.

"No one hates you, Liv"

"Well of course they do, Kairi can't even smile at me and God knows what Mattia's dad would do if he saw me"

She groaned in annoyance and rested her head on my shoulder. I turned and kissed her head, feeling her cuddle up to me more. I smiled and pressed the remote, causing the lights to dim.

"Forget them, Liv" I said. She looked up at me, her eyes starting to become glassy. It only made me angrier when she was hurt.

"How am I meant to do that exactly?"

I thought about it for a second, knowing how quickly she agrees with bad ideas. But I knew I'd tell her at some point, and reading those texts only made me want to do it more. I looked at her and a small smirk spread across my face.

"Remember how you wanted to start a Mafia?"
