MATTIA'S POV

I got out my car whilst also putting my gun in the side of my jeans. It was dark out, so the heist should be quick and easy.

"Fucking finally" said Kairi as I joined them inside. I looked around and saw Hector's dead soldiers lying on the ground.

"I thought you said you were waiting for my signal?"

"We were, but then one of them noticed us so we had to open fire" admitted Kairi. Alejandro appeared with two machine guns tucked under his arms.

"They have everything here" he chuckled. I rolled my eyes and started walking towards the exit.

"Let's just leave, call all the soldiers" I sighed. I was disappointed that I'd missed the whole raid, but I guess it wasn't a complete loss since I finally got Olivia's number. I smiled at the thought of her, I was definitely making her my girlfriend.

"Look out!" yelled Alejandro, completely snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked towards the door and saw Hector with a gun pointed at us, and before I could do anything he pulled the trigger.

All three of us ducked, resulting in one of the soldiers getting shot in his shoulder.

"Just what we needed" I breathed, keeping myself on the ground. I held my breath, trying to figure out my next move.

OLIVIA'S POV:

I ducked down a little as I parked my car a few meters behind Mattia. I watched him as he left his car, tucking something into his pocket. It was getting harder to see him since it was getting dark, but I managed to get a glimpse of him entering a warehouse. I was about to try follow him until I saw a Rolls Royce pull up, and a man with curly hair and dark shades stepped out. He was wearing a red blazer with dress pants.

Now I didn't know a lot about mafias and cartels, but I knew enough to know that there was only one person who would wear shades at night.

Hector Diaz. The leader of Diaz Cartel. His name was bought up several times in Mattia's folder. Whenever the word 'enemy' would appear, Hector's name would appear soon enough.

I watched as he pulled out a gun, and began walking towards the warehouse. Goosebumps began to rise on my arms as I found myself fearing for Mattia's life. Despite only knowing him for less than a week, something told me I had to help him. Risking the mission like this was bad enough, but knowing I had a chance to save him and I didn't take it, was even worse. I didn't have any weapons on me, which made me even more nervous. I looked at my phone as it started buzzing. It was Dad. I declined the call, but as I did so, I heard a gunshot which made me jump outta my skin. If that bullet was in Mattia, I'd never forgive myself.

I got out the car and hurried over to the warehouse, looking for a back door. Luckily, there was a side entrance, and I slipped inside the building before anyone could see me. I walked through long corridors until I heard Hector's voice. I looked through one of the doors and caught sight of Mattia on the ground, along with his partners a couple feet behind him. They were Alejandro and Kairi. I knew enough about them already.

Hector had his gun aimed at Mattia's head. I began to panic, trying to figure out what I was meant to do.
I looked around and saw a fusebox attached to the wall. I went to take a closer look at it but my hands were sweaty with anxiety. I took a few breaths to compose myself, regretting ever entering the situation in the first place.

MATTIA'S POV:

I laid my palms either side of my head. I was still on the ground, staying as still as I possibly could.

"You really thought it'd be this easy to rob me?" laughed Hector. I didn't even have to look up to know he was walking towards me. I felt the cold gun in his hand press against the side of my head. I'd be lying if I told you I didn't flinch.

"You really thought it'd be that easy to kill the Capo of NJ13?" Kairi shot back. Hector looked at him with a scowl. He wasn't used to being interrupted.

"I have a good mind to kill all three of you right now"

He pulled his gun back and went to stand infront of us again. He opened his mouth to speak but then we had a godsend.

The lights went out. Leaving us in pure darkness.

"Move!" I screamed to the boys. They both stood up and ran in different directions as Hector opened fire. Although I couldn't see him, the light from where the bullet was fired gave me a pretty good indication. I ran to take cover behind some crates and carefully aimed my gun at him. I pulled the trigger back and shot him as best as I could.

"Fuck" he groaned. I smiled in satisfaction when I heard his body drop to the ground. Hopefully I killed him, but there was no way to tell right now.

"Let's go home before his bitchass wakes up" whined Ale, and Kairi followed him out. Soon enough I followed them, and made my way through the long corridor, towards the exit. But just before I reached the doors I heard shuffling. I stopped immediately and took out my gun, aiming it to where I heard the sound.

"Don't fuck with me" I said loudly, my finger tracing the trigger. I saw a figure emerging from behind the wall, and my heart skipped a beat when I saw Olivia.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" I growled, lowering my gun. She opened her mouth to speak but no words came out.
