OLIVIA'S POV:

"A Mafia? Yeah, I don't think that's a great idea"

Alejandro sighed and paused the film. I saw how upset he was with Mattia, but causing more violence to fuel the hate wasn't the answer.

"I don't know...I just wanted to get back at him" he said, staring ahead. My stomach twisted as I realised he knew about us sleeping together. I opened my mouth but he let out a small laugh which only seemed more intimidating.

"I can't even be mad at you right now"

"Ale-"

"Don't bother" he said, standing up again. He left the popcorn on the couch and walked towards the door, glancing in my direction before walking out.

"And to think, I actually thought you were different from the rest"

I felt his words sting me as he walked out the cinema room. I sunk into the seat, staring at the black screen. I knew this would end badly, and now I had no way of regaining Alejandro's trust.

I stood up and walked towards the door when I heard several gunshots going off. I jumped as the lights turned off, leaving me in complete darkness.

I tried to navigate myself towards the door, but just as I found it someone burst inside, pushing me over so I landed on my ass.

"What the fuck?"

I winced as I recognised Mattia's voice. I stood up and watched him roll his eyes when he saw me, thanks to the little light that was shining through the doorway.

"Of course it's you" he mumbled, closing the door. He locked the door, blocking off the light and leaving us in darkness again.

"I wasn't here to see you" I said, equally annoyed as he was with the current situation.

"I don't give a fuck, we're friends, remember?"

"Friends can't talk?"

"Just like they can't have sex" he replied. He placed an ear against the door just as we heard shouting from outside.

"What's going on?" I asked, watching as he reached for his gun. Even though it was dark, I could still sense him glaring right at me.

"There's an active shooter in the house, probably sent by Maria"

I swallowed, remembering how frightening this mafia shit really was. Mattia leaned his back against the door, facing me.

"How long till they get to us?"

There was a pause for a second until Mattia shifted in his place.

"Why? Down for round two?" he sniggered. I clenched my jaw at his immaturity, just as the lights turned back on. His smile quickly vanished and I collapsed into the couch.

"I was kidding, Liv" he said, taking a seat behind me.

"They won't find us down here, I'll call Kairi in a second" he said, opening his phone. I stayed quiet, afraid of who would burst through the door.

"I'm sorry, by the way"

I pressed my lips together, I had no idea why he was apologising, the last thing I needed was to be in the same room as him.

"I mean, none of this would've happened if you'd have told me you were dating Alejandro"

I turned to face Mattia and narrowed my eyes at him, confused over whether he was joking with me right now. But the look on his face stayed casual as he relaxed back into the seat.

"Are you kidding me, Mattia?"

He shrugged his shoulders, his eyes moving from my eyes to my lips. I watched him in disbelief as a small smirk spread across his face.

"You're fucking stupid" I uttered, turning to face the screen and hugging my knees to my chest.

"Why are you so mad?"

I rested my chin on my knees and chose not to answer his dumb questions. I heard him moving around but continued facing forward. But the next thing I knew, he was slumped down next to me on the couch. I felt his eyes on me and felt myself becoming more annoyed by the second.

"Do you even care about Alejandro right now?" I asked, facing him. Mattia shrugged his shoulders again, this time avoiding eye contact.

"He'll get over it"

"Yeah, cause he has no other choice" I said quietly.

"If he had an issue, he'd say something to me"

"No he wouldn't!" I snapped "you act like you're above him all the time, why can't you be happy for him? Let him enjoy the finer things instead of always being such a controlling asshole"

Mattia's head jerked backwards when I'd finished talking, he looked offended.

"Why the fuck are you talking to me like that?"

"There it is" I said, facing away from him.

"No, look at me"

He reached out and cupped my chin, turning my face so I could see the anger and confusion in his eyes.

"What has Alé told you?"

"He doesn't need to tell me, it's written all over his face" I said, taking his hand and moving it away from me.

"I've never disrespected any of my boys, stop talking shit"

"So, you're not jealous about Alejandro and I?"

Mattia rolled his eyes and tilted his head back before giving an answer. I raised my eyebrows as he tried to form a sentence.

"Of course I'm fucking jealous"

"Why can't you let him be happy?"

"Cause you're mine, I told you that"

"But what if I don't want to be yours?"

"Then no one can have you"

I opened my mouth to speak but the door started opening and Kairi's face appeared from behind it. He frowned when he saw us sat together before opening his mouth.

"We killed him, you guys might wanna-"

"Is Liv still in-"

Alejandro rushed to the door, but his face fell when he saw Mattia and I sat on the couch. He nodded slowly before scratching the back of his neck.

"I swear-"

"Nah it's cool" he said, cutting me off "I'm used to it by now"

He disappeared as quickly as he'd arrived and I saw Mattia through the corner of my eye. He had a look on his face that I hadn't seen before. Something close to regret, borderline embarrassment.

"I should probably talk to him.." he said, going over to the door. I nodded and watched him and Kairi leave the room, before burying my head in my hands.
