OLIVIA'S POV:

"That doesn't explain why the fuck you had a gun!"

I was sitting in my office, listening to Dad berating Luis next door. It'd been two days since the mission, and both mine and Luis' jobs are on the line.

My smart ass partner decided to wear a body cam and forgot all about it when he had a gun aimed at Mattia's head.

Rule #1 of being an FBI agent is you never use your gun unless you're under attack, or your cover is completely blown.

That still confused me though, because Mattia seemed completely unbothered when he saw the gun. On top of that, Luis lied to headquarters, saying he saw Mattia and I making out, when he came a whole 15 minutes after we kissed. When Dad heard that, to say he was mad would be the biggest lie. Yet he still kept me on the case.

"Miss West"

I turned around to see Taylor, Dad's personal assistant, stood by the door.

"Mr West is asking for you in his office" she said nervously. I sighed and picked up my coffee. I could've seen this coming from a mile away. When Luis goes down, he takes everyone with him.

"How bad is it?" I asked Taylor as we walked to his office.

"It's bad" she winced, opening the door for me. I thanked her, walking in to see Luis and Dad both looking equally angry.

"You needed me?" I said blankly, staring at them both. Dad gestured at the seat in front of him, and Taylor left the room. Calmly, I took a seat, intertwining my fingers and crossing my left leg over my right.

"Start from the beginning" said Dad, taking a seat opposite me. I glanced around and Luis who was looking out the window and raised an eyebrow, turning back to Dad.

"Well, it all started on a stormy night-"

"Skip the fucking prologue" said Dad, massaging his temples. I stopped myself from laughing and decided to be serious for once.

"Okay okay let me think" I said "so I was with Mattia, and we were talking about my day-"

"What about the microphone? Why are you skipping the most important fucking detail?" said Luis, a little too loudly for my liking. I pressed my lips together and took a deep breath, ignoring anything that came out his mouth.

"He's got a point, Olivia, what happened to the microphone?" asked Dad, trying to keep the situation from escalating even more.

"It fell off my hoodie, I must've not put it on properly" I admitted.

"Tampering with a mission? That's at least 10 years prison" interrupted Luis. I turned around to him and he shrugged his shoulders, looking out the window.

"Luis, please" said Dad.

"Besides, how do you think Mattia would've reacted if he saw a black microphone somewhere on a white hoodie?"

"Olivia, you've got a good point, but this could've been avoided if you told this to Luis in the car" said Dad, keeping his eyes on me.

"And for the record, I never kissed Mattia, I gave him a hug when I saw him, that's all" I said. Dad nodded, taking in what I'd told him.

"That's a lie" said Luis "I saw them, that's why I pulled out a gun, what if he was going to kill her?"

"Please stop lying" said Dad, shaking his head "I've seen the bodycam footage, they never kissed"

There was a small silence, Dad stood up and walked over to the door.

"I'll have to delete the footage, I'll be back shortly" he said, before walking out. I stood up and tucked the chair under the table, waiting patiently. Luis walked over to me and stood in front of me.

"Making up lies about your partner? That's at least 20 years jail, Luis King" I said, narrowing my eyes at him. He took a sharp intake of breath.

"How dare you try throw me under the bus like that, that's so fucked up of you" he spat.

"What the fuck is wrong with you? Are you fucking jealous of Mattia or something?" I said, changing the topic completely, hoping to trip him up. He furrowed his brows at me, taking a step back.

"Jealous? Do better, Liv"

My fists turned into balls when he called me that name, and he knew exactly what he was doing. But so did I.

"You love being called Liv, don't you?" he smirked, moving closer to me.

"Only when Mattia calls me it" I said casually. His head jerked backwards as if he'd been attacked. Before I could say my next sentence he slapped me across the face. When his hand connected to my cheek, the stinging came directly after.

I felt my eyes heating up, but tried to hold them in till he wasn't standing in front of me. He leaned forward, shaking with anger.

"You made me do that"

He walked towards the door and slammed it behind him. I wiped the tears away a quickly, trying to overcome the shock of what'd just happened. The door opened again and I looked up to see who'd decided to walk in now.

A timid looking Taylor rushed over to me and pulled me into a hug.

"I saw everything, I swear I won't say anything unless you want me to" she said quickly. I smiled and pulled away.

"Thank you Taylor, but there's only one person I need to see right now"
