XC: Italian Thanksgiving Part II

Monday

Lauryn was folding up her blanket and sheets from the night before.

Her stomach began to growl as the sweet and savory smell of food was filling up the room. She wanted to wait on Isabella to finish her shower as she even made up her bed for her to stall for time

She sat in the chair and waited but she just couldn't ignore the smell and her stomach was growling louder.

She finally got up to leave and once she approached the staircase she thought about turning around and going back to the room but she was hungry and the smell of pancakes was making her mouth water.

She faced her fears and went downstairs to the dining room. The table was spread with plates full of food as she was the only one there and decided to wait for someone else to come down.

"Damnit Dexter, why is your big ass sitting in front of the door." Michael said as he tripped over Dexter

"Good morning, Mr. Andolini."

"Good morning, you're the first one down, why aren't you eating?" He asked as he sat down

"I didn't want to be rude and eat before anyone else."

"Oh you wouldn't have to worry about that, there's a house full and it would be smart if you'd start eating." He said as he opened the newspaper and went to reach for his glasses in his pocket
"Shit." He groaned "I left those glasses upstairs."

"Good morning Lauryn, did you sleep well?" Katherine asked as she bought another plate of bacon out and set it on the table

"Morning and I slept okay."

"That's good, well help yourself to whatever you want and eat as much as you want."

"I hope you like omelettes, Kat makes the best omelettes in the world." He said as Katherine kissed his cheek

"Aw thank you."

"Morning everyone, time to start my day off wonderfully." Christian smiled as he was rubbing his hands together

"Go upstairs and get my glasses."

"Can I eat first?" Christian asked as Michael reached down and took one of his slippers off

"If you don't take your ass upstairs."

"Alright, I'll get it." He said

"You shouldn't do that." Katherine said as Michael smiled

"I'm not gonna lie, it felt good to do that again, at times I miss having them here, who am I gonna yell and throw shoes at?"

"And I'm sure they miss it too."

"Sit down babe and get something to eat you've been cooking all morning." He said pulling Katherine to sit down

"Okay, I'll take a break, so Lauryn how's school going for you?"

"Fine, my grades have gotten better over the past few weeks and hopefully I'll get my two C's up next term."

"That's good, keep working at it and you'll get it. I bet your parents are proud."

"My parents unfortunately don't have anything to do with me."

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, well you're certainly welcome in our home." Katherine said as this made Lauryn feel good and Isabella walked downstairs

"Morning everyone, I see you're fitting in the family quite nice." She said as she sat down

"Yes I am, I tried to wait for you but you were taking too long."
