XXXVII. Date Night

"I have so much stuff to do in so little time," Katherine said

"What all do you have to do?"

"Some laundry, iron some clothes and change out the sheets."

"You do that stuff every day, I think you're just finding something to do."

"Maybe I am, but it's still something to do."

"Well, this might put a stop to the plan I had for us."

"What kind of plan?" She asked

"I was thinking that you and I could go out on a date." He shrugged as she smiled

"A date? I think we're long past the dating stage now."

"Yeah, but, when was the last time we actually went out together and had some fun."

"You're right it has been a while."

"So, is that a yes for us to go out?"

"Sure, why not."

He smiled, "Perfect, and one more thing." He said as he looked her up and down
"Wear something sexy." He smirked and walked off as all she could do was just chuckle and shake her head

It was later in the night when Katherine was getting ready as she chose a simple back dress that stopped at her knees and matching heels

At first, she was going to go with a different dress because she thought it was a little tight and wouldn't look very flattering, but she wasn't feeling the other styles and colors so she stuck it out with the black dress

"Are you ready to go?" Michael comes in the room asking Katherine as he's already dressed

"Yeah, but what do you think of this dress? Is it flattering or should I put something else on?" She asked doing a full body spin in front of him

"I think it looks gorgeous. It shows off your wonderful body."

"Is that a bad thing?"

"For me, it's not, but I don't have to worry about anyone else looking at you in that way." He shrugged

"Alright, well I guess I'm ready to go."

It was just the two as they rode onto the night admiring the scenery of the city and listening to the radio

"Is it too late for me to ask where we're going?" She asked

"In a way, yes, but I know you'll enjoy it."

"I'll take your word for it."

A few minutes later they pulled up to the drive-in movie where there was already a handful of other cars there.
"Would you like some popcorn?" He asked as he cut the car off

"Yeah, sure."

"Ok, I'll be right back." He left to get popcorn as this is not what she had in mind of a typical date, but Michael was always full of surprises

When he returned she couldn't help but start laughing as he was confused. "What? What did I do?"

"Nothing, it's just that I wasn't expecting you to take me to a drive-in movie and you made me get all dressed up, I just find it a little funny, that's all."
