LXXXVI: Shocking Revelation

"Rebecca Andolini." The nurse called as Alex put the magazine down, stood up and helped Rebecca out of the chair

"Thank you baby." She smiled as he kissed her hand and held on to it

"You're welcome."

They walked to the back as the nurse greeted them both with a smile and a warm hello. Rebecca got her vitals checked as they went in to the exam room.

"I don't know why but I get super nervous when I come here." She said as Alex was helping her up on the table and he sat in the chair beside her

"Why do you say that babe?"

"I don't know, I get this weird antsy feeling and I feel as sometimes I'm not doing something right and I start to second guess myself."

"Oh honey, that's just your nerves. You are amazing and you have nothing to worry about, you're beautiful and I'm glad to call you my wife." He said as her face lit up with joy

"You really mean that?"

"Of course I do, I wouldn't go all out of my way to make you happy." He said as he leaned over and kissed her temple
"Matter fact, how about after we leave from here I'll get you something from McDonald's, you can order whatever you want."

She laughed, "You have really fell in love with McDonald's every since we've been here."

"For the most part it wasn't around for the large majority of my childhood and when one popped up in Chicago, mom wouldn't let us go anywhere near it and dad with his conspiracy theory of anyone selling over a million hamburgers is not to be trusted, and now that I'm on my own I can eat whatever I want now."

"How was practice?" Isabella asked Ronnie as she was on the phone with him outside of the cafeteria as she was waiting on Lauryn to get her food

"You know, same old, same old."

"I heard about your game last week. I read about it in the student union paper and I even tuned in on the radio." She said happily as Ronnie smiled

"Oh really? And were you impressed?"

"Mm, I don't know, I think you could've did better." She shrugged as he scoffed and she burst out laughing
"I'm joking you big baby, of course I was impressed, you always seemed to amaze me with your athleticism."

"Too bad I can't look over on the sidelines and see you cheering for me in that very beautiful uniform of yours."

"That's one of the things I hate about us not being together, I can't be there to support my baby. But I do know one thing, you better not be looking at any of those other unattractive floozies." She said as he began to chuckle

"Don't worry babe I'm not looking at no other girl, you're the only one I have eyes for."

"You better or else I'll have to come to North Carolina myself to handle it."

"Well I should have that same sentiment for you as well. I don't want any of those guys even hinting at getting with you, matter fact don't even talk to them."

"Babe we have to talk sometime, we ride the bus together on out of town games and we have to socialize, and you know this,"

"Sit with another girl or the coaches but just not no dudes."

"I'll keep that in mind." She smiled

"You think your dad will let you come to Duke with me?"

"I don't know, three hours is already torture for him, I can only imagine how he'd feel if I were to go to Duke, but despite the separation I still love you very much and we will be reunited."
