Like I'm Right Beside You (BEING EDITED SLOWLY)

Chapter 73

BRIAN'S POV

Today was the day. It was the release of our new album 'In A World Like This.' We have been working very hard on it and I was excited for our fans to hear it. I was also excited for Annie to hear our  new songs and one in particular.

"It's today? really?" Annie asked me after I told her the big news. I nodded, "Yes and I want you to have a copy just like our previous album."

Her face glowed, "Are you going to sign it for me?" I remember last time the message I left her on the front of the album. "Of course. Whenever we release new albums I'll always sign it for you."

I pulled her in on her good side and hugged her. Today was also the day Annie would get her cast off. I was happy because now I could fully hug her and she wouldn't be in pain anymore.

"Are you going with me to get my cast off?" Annie looked up at me. Her face never failed to make my heart pound in my chest. "I will go. I don't want you to go alone," I said.

"Good. I would ask my father, but I'd rather you go," she smiled.

We got ready to go get Annie's cast off. Her dad didn't mind for me to go with her as long as she didn't go alone. "Take care of her," he warned me.

I helped Annie into the car and I knew I had to be super careful with driving. I didn't want past mistakes to repeat again. I wouldn't forgive myself.

When we finally got to the doctor's we had to wait a few minutes before they called Annie. As we sat there Annie kept asking me about the new album.

"Are you excited?"

"I am. You know that," I said.

Annie looked around the room before looking at me, "Any interviews you're going to do? You're not-"

I interrupted her, "I'm not leaving Annie. We already did our interview, remember? Plus our album releases tonight."

She did an 'oh' and half smiled. I sensed something was wrong, "what is it?"

"I just thought you were leaving again.."

I smiled at her comment knowing she didn't want me to leave. "I'm not babe. In fact I'll be here to bother you," I kissed her cheek.

"Annie Jennings," said a nurse. We got up and were led inside a room.

"Please wait here for the doctor. He'll be with you soon." Annie nodded and we waited for the doctor.

"You're not scared, are you?" I asked. Why did I ask that? I was just trying to make Annie feel safe.

She shook her head, "No, because you're here." At that moment the way she looked at me I knew we were meant for each other. I loved how she wanted me here and how she loved me.

Soon the doctor arrived, "How's your arm?"

Annie looked at her arm and then back up, "It's alright, but it's been a little itchy."

"That's normal. When I take off the cast I'll prescribe you a special lotion. Are you ready?"

I looked at Annie as she said yes. My Annie has such strength in her. I couldn't take my eyes off her knowing she was mine.

ANNIE'S POV

I was a little bit scared when I saw the cast saw. But I knew Brian was next to me so I would be fine.

The doctor aligned the cast saw on my cast and began to cut it. The noise was scaring me and Brian noticed. "It's ok Annie," he said to me.

I looked away as the doctor finished taking it off. Thank goodness no one put a message on it.

"There, all done," the doctor said.

He cleaned my arm and said we could go. He prescribed me a special lotion that would take away my itch.

"Let's go get your lotion and then go home," Brian said taking my hand.

Brian said he would go inside the pharmacy and get the lotion. I told him I wanted to go to with him. "Annie, please I'll go. It's ok," Brian smiled.

I sighed, "Fine, but don't be too long. As I waited in the car for Brian I laid my head in the seat. I replayed the thoughts of Brian next to me.

I was really happy that he was back with me. Tomorrow was Christmas Eve and he would be with me, hopefully.

Soon Brian was back inside the car. "I got it. I didn't have to pay anything because the insurance covers it."

"Wait..you were going to pay for it?"

"Yes. Annie anything for you," he handed me the bag.

I looked down at the bag and smiled secretly at myself.

When we got home we got an unexpected surprise. All the other guys were there plus Madeline.  "Your back!" Kevin patted Brian's back.

Brian made a confused expression, "what's going?"

Nick nudged Kevin's arm, "Tell him." Tell us what?

"Well we are here to celebrate the release of our album," Kevin said happily.

"But the album's not out yet?" Brian said or asked, I wasn't sure.

"We know, but we are celebrating starting right now. We are going to celebrate all night," Aj half yelled.

"I like that, but please keep the noise down. Why don't you guys go into the living room?" Brian scolded them.

Brian grabbed my hand and led me into my room. He shut the door and he turned to me. "What's wrong Brian?"

He sighed, "I just want you to relax, that's it. I'm sorry they are making so much noise."

I got close to him, "it's ok Brian. I want you to celebrate. I want you to be happy. If you're happy then I am too."

"I love you Annie." Brian grabbed my arms and wrapped them around his waist. I felt butterflies in the pit of my stomach.

"Is your arm ok?" He said worried.

"I'm alright Brian."

Brian made me unwrap my arms and he grabbed the bag with the lotion. He took out the small box and put some on my arm. "That feels nice."

Soon Brian's lips were on mine.
