Brysen was crying so early in the morning, but Brian decided he wanted to put him to sleep. I laid back into the bed and tried to go back to sleep.

I could hear Brian singing to him and I listened until I too fell asleep.

"Look, mommy's waking up," I heard a voice say as I opened my eyes.

"What time is it?" I groaned.

"It's time for you to wake up, honey," said Brian. He was holding Brysen and they were both watching me.

"Was he crying?" I asked sitting up.

Brian shook his head, "No, he was just awake. So I brought him here before you woke up."

I rubbed my eyes with the back of my knuckles trying to take away the sleep.

"Alright, I'm up you two," I said.

I did my morning routine and returned back to my boys. I didn't see them in the living room, but instead heard them in the kitchen.

"Are you hungry?" Brian asked me.

"I am very hungry, yes," I rubbed my stomach as it growled.

"I made breakfast for you. I already ate since this little one woke me up," Brian poked Brysen's tummy.

Brian had made oatmeal and cut some fruits. I've never had a breakfast like this before. I was excited to try it.

As I ate, Brian headed over to the living room. I looked back and saw that he was going to play with him.

The oatmeal and fruit was pretty good. I should have this more often.

"Honey, your dad called me. He said he's coming over," Brian said from the living room.

I just nodded as I finished up my breakfast.

Weeks already have passed by since we had Brysen. It still didn't feel real having our first child. It seemed as if yesterday me and Brian were dating.

Since Brysen's arrival, Brian seems more relaxed and happy. He took some time off to help me with Brysen.

I'm happy that Brian is also happy.

"Are you going to play with us Mommy?" Brian said in a baby voice.

"Mm, I'll watch," I played along as I sat on the rug.

Brian gave Brysen a small stuffed turtle. "Soon he'll be big," Brian mentioned.

I sighed, "I know, time will go by fast."

"Have you ever thought of us having another one?" Brian looked up at me.

"Another one? We are just starting, Brian. Let's just...raise this one first," I explained.

I don't think I wanted another one. I just wanted to raise Brysen and be with Brian. That wasn't so wrong..was it?

"Do you think it's wrong of me not wanting another baby?" I blurted out.

"Wrong of you? Babe, of course not. Whatever you decide I'll always support you," Brian reached out his hand to me.

I grabbed it, "I'm sorry. I just want Brysen for now."

Brian kissed my hand, "And that's ok. I was just asking."

How was I so lucky to have such an understanding husband like Brian?

As we sat on the living room floor, I hoped we could have more moments like this.

BRIAN'S POV

"He's here," I said walking to the door.

It was Annie's dad with a bag in his hand. "Hi Brian. Good to see you," he said as he stepped inside.

"Dad, you're here," I heard Annie say as I closed the door.

I walked over and offered to take the bag. I put it on top of the counter. "I brought some toys for my grandson," he said.

"Thanks dad. You didn't have to," Annie smiled.

That evening Annie's dad said how happy he was for us. He was thrilled that he had a grandson and would spoil him.

"You look just like your mommy," he said in a baby voice.

"What about me?" I jokingly scoffed.

"Well, he has your hair," he pointed out.

I laughed and knew Annie's dad was right.

I looked over at Annie and she was really happy. My heart beat fast as I caught Annie looking at me.

It felt nostalgic as I remembered when she would sneak glances at me when we dated. I kept on watching her and still couldn't believe she loved me.

Annie has loved me ever since our first date. She will always love me and I will always love her.

Time stopped as I saw her laughing at what her dad was saying. I loved hearing her laugh and having a good time.

"Is that alright? Brian?" I shook my thoughts away and realized Annie was talking to me.

"Uh.."

Annie lightly laughed, "Is it alright if my dad stays for dinner?"

"Oh! Yes, of course!" I could feel myself blushing.

ANNIE'S POV

"Wow dad! This is really good!" My dad had decided to make dinner for us.

"I got the recipe from online. I thought why not make it?"

"Well, it's really good," I said.

I was going to feed Brysen, but Brian said he'd do it. Brian was eating and feeding our little one.

After dinner ended, me and my dad cleaned up. Brian headed into our room and was going to put Brysen to sleep.

"Annie, are you sure you're doing ok?"

"Yes, why dad?" I dried up the plates and put them away.

"I'm just asking honey. If you need anything, just let me know," he said.

I smiled, "I will, don't worry."

My dad arranged the cups, "You're lucky sweetie. From what I've seen tonight, he loves you and Brysen. He's a good father and husband."

"He is, isn't he?" I leaned my back against the sink.

My dad nodded, " Yes, plus having a child seems as if it strengthening your relationship even more. That's a good thing."

"Huh. I haven't thought about that, but I guess you're right."

"I can tell, Annie. Plus I noticed the way Brian looks at you. It's like you two are dating again," he explained.

Dad was right. I replayed the moment where I was staring at Brian and vice versa.

"Well, I better be going. It's getting late and I don't want to drive at this hour," he groaned.

He said bye to me and told me to tell Brian bye.  After turning off the kitchen light I headed toward the room.

As I entered the room I found Brian fast sleep with Brysen. Dad's right, Brian is a good father and husband, I thought.
