"Well?" Madeline wiped her mouth with a white cloth.
"Well what?" I asked.
"Are you going to get Brian back? Just know that if you are I will help," she pointed at herself proudly.
I took a sip of my juice, "No way. Like I said, he's over me. End of story." But was he really? That question lingered in the back of my mind.
Madeline didn't believe what I said for a second, "I think you're wrong. He probably feels something for you. Come on get ready."
Madeline got up and motioned for me to get up too, "Where are we going?"
She chuckled, "We are getting you all pretty for him. I have a feeling he does want you back."
"Madeline, didn't you hear Nick? He said Brian was out of town," I got up and took the toast crumbs off my clothes.
"Maybe, but he has to be back sometime, right? Don't they have shows like every night?" she asked.
I thought for a minute, "True, but maybe he will meet them in another location."
"You never know Annie. Now come on, let's shower and maybe go clothes shopping?" She asked as if it were that easy.
"Shopping? But I don't have money and.." Madeline put a hand in front of me to stop.
"Remember, I have my brother's credit card," she smirked.
We took a shower and made ourselves some what decent. We put on the clothes that we had from last night's concert.
"Madeline if you knew we were going to stay here why didn't you tell me to bring extra clothes?" I asked as I dried my hair.
She clicked her tongue, "Cuz we are getting new clothes that's why."
We got out of the hotel and began making our way to the lobby. "How much time do we have that room for?" I asked holding onto the rail.
"It's only for this week, relax," she said. I stopped on the stairs, "this week? Madeline what about our homework and quizzes and stuff?"
"Anne relax. It's not that bad. Plus you and I need some getaway time," she began going down the stairs.
Finally we reached the lobby and I needed to go to the gym. "Phew those stairs really got to me," I said out of breath.
"Well we will get some exercise as we go shopping," she smacked her lips.
Madeline went to a drinking fountain before we left. As she drank water I waited next to her. She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, "Are you going to get some?"
I nodded, "of course." I drank that water like I haven't drink anything all day. The cold water felt good. But what happened next wasn't too great.
"Um Annie I don't think we need to find Brian anymore.." she poked my arm.
I dried the side of my mouth with my hand, "Why? Did you change your mind?"
She shook her head, "No look." I followed her gaze that was looking at the main door.
Just as I looked Brian was entering the hotel. My heart began to beat really fast and I wanted to hide.
"What's he doing here?" I whispered as I pulled Madeline out of sight.
"Maybe he came back from his mission. Ohh the other guys probably told him where you were," she kept looking at Brian.
"Maybe they're doing something here," I quickly said trying to make an excuse.
Madeline shook her head, "No way! This isn't an excuse Annie. He's obviously here to find you."
"How can you be so sure?" I kept on whispering.
She sighed, "If you can't see it fine. But I think he's here for you."
Madeline told me stay where I was and she was going to find out for me. I hid behind a wall, but was trying to blend in.
I saw Madeline making her way to Brian. I couldn't make out what they were saying, but she seemed to catch his attention.
They shook hands and talked for what seemed like a long time. Then Madeline pointed out the door and Brian went that way.
She began walking back, "Annie stop hiding he's gone."
"What did you tell him? And what did he say?" I asked.
"Well I introduced myself and told him I was a big fan. Then he said 'oh you know Annie?' And I said 'yes she's going outside soon' and he left," she giggled.
"Are you crazy? We are going that way!" I nearly yelled.
"That's the plan. Maybe I should leave you two alone," she winked.
"No please don't. Stay with me. I'll do anything you want just don't leave me alone," I begged.
"Hmm? Anything? Alright I won't go, but give him a chance. See? He asked for you," Maybe she was right..
We began to walk out the lobby and with each step my heart felt like it was racing. I felt nervous because I haven't see him in person for some time.
What if his facial features changed? Or he didn't recognize me anymore? I wanted to see him again, but a small part of me didn't. Only because I was afraid of rejection.
We took the final step and were out the hotel. My eyes searched for him, but he wasn't there. Did he leave? Was he afraid too?
Then I saw him to our right. He was waiting by the wall leaning against it. His back was to us so he couldn't see us.
"Good day ladies," said the guard by the door.
Brian heard and turned around. It was like time stopped and he was there. His black shirt looked good on him. And his facial features were still the same.
My once upon time prince was in front of me again. My mouth went dry again and suddenly I forgot how to walk.
"You ok?" Madeline noticed. I nodded as my cheeks blushed.
Finally we were in front of him and I felt shy again. His smell made me weak.
The love that was sort of dying for him has resurfaced.
