Like I'm Right Beside You (BEING EDITED SLOWLY)

Chapter 50

Brian's hands moved up and down my body. As he kissed me I couldn't process what was going on. He has never kissed me this way. It felt like hunger and passion.

He began to kiss my neck. "B-Brian, what's gotten into you?" After I said that he stopped kissing me.

He got off of me, "I'm sorry Annie. It's just..seeing you in those pajamas..." I looked down at what I was wearing.

"Oh," I nervously said. Brian sat back down on the couch and turned off the tv. "These pajamas are the ones I got in Venice," I explained.

He looked at me, "I didn't even know you had gotten those." We sat there until Brian got up and left. I sat there thinking what happened. I think that I liked that side of Brian.

I looked down on at my right arm and remembered when Nathan grabbed me on my left arm and left a bruise. It had faded.

The next morning I felt like Brian kept avoiding me. After he dropped me off I just have him a small kiss on his cheek.

I waved to Madeline and sat next to her. To my surprise I was a few minutes early. "Hello you," Madeline said. She was in a good mood day.

"Hi," I grumpily said. She turned to me, "What's wrong now? Your homework?" I shook my head, "it's not that.."

I looked down and then back up. "Then what is it?" She asked again. I sighed, "it's Brian.."

"What happened? Did you guys break up?" her eyes widen. I scoffed, "No. Last night I wore these reveling pajamas. Then next thing I know Brian's all over me. Now he's barely talking to me..."

"So he made a move on you and is ignoring you?" she said. I nodded, "That's it."

"Hmm, why do you think that happened? Maybe.." Madeline stopped before finishing her sentence.

I shrugged, "I don't know."

I told Madeline bye and headed to my class. I wasn't really into the classes today. I kept thinking about why Brian didn't want to talk to me. Was he upset with me or himself?

I had to find out once I got back home.

By the time I noticed the day was done. Brian had picked me and Madeline up.

Once me and Brian were in the house I made myself ask him. He was in the kitchen cutting carrots.

"Hey," I said softly. He looked up at me, "Hi." I just decided to say it, "Brian about last night.. I- "

Before I could finish he interrupted me. "No Annie. I'm sorry. I'm sorry for ignoring you and making that move last night," he wiped his hands on a cloth.

"Sorry? For last night?" I asked confused.

"I've been thinking and that was wrong of me. I said to go slow and here I am acting like a wild beast," he chuckled.

I approached him, "Brian.. it's ok. I get it. You're a guy."

He wrapped his arms around my waist, "I was being a jerk sweetie. I'm sorry." Soon his hands went to my face. I craved his touch all day. His lips on mine made my day better.

He smiled in between our kiss, "I don't want to hurt you."

"You won't," I whispered.

We ate dinner and I told him that Madeline was in a good mood today. "Wow really? I wish I was there to see it," Brian joked. It was rare to see Madeline in a good mood. I wonder why..

After dinner we cleaned up and Brian said we should go out. November was already here and he wanted to enjoy the dark nights.

"Where are the keys?" I asked as I looked around. Brian shook his head, "No, we are going walking. I want to enjoy time with you."

Brian told me to put warm clothes on. He didn't want me to get sick. "You don't want me to go sick and yet you want to walk in the cold air?" I asked.

"Hey I have a right to enjoy my time with you and-" he got interrupted by me. "I'm jut messing around," I smirked a little.

We locked the house up and began our walk. The park wasn't that far away from the house. I led Brian there.

His fingers intertwined with me, "This is nice. Just you and me." He was right. It was nice. I never imaged Brian would be living with me. Actually I never imagined any guy would be living with me. Maybe in the future, but I never thought about it.

When the park came into view I let go of Brian's hand and ran to the swings. "Aren't you gonna push me?" I half yelled as he ran after me.

"I would love to," he said going behind me as I sat on the swing.

He grabbed onto the sides of the chains and pulled me back. Then he let go and began pushing me. The autumn air hit my face with each swing.

I used my legs to help me get higher. "Are you sure this isn't too high?" Brian asked me.

I began to laugh, "No!"

A few minutes later he grabbed onto the chains and halted me to a stop. I looked back at him, "why'd you stop?"

"Because I don't want you to get hurt," he smiled.

I saw a big pile of leaves and headed there. I grabbed them and threw them at Brian. "Why are you throwing these at me?" He said cleaning his sweater.

"Why not?" I said.

We began to throw some orange, reddish leaves at each other. I loved how we were enjoying each others' company.

I didn't realize I had grabbed a small pebble and it was in the leaf. I threw it a Brian. "Ow. What was that?" he said rubbing his eye.

I walked over to him, "I'm sorry. I didn't know there was a pebble in there." I removed his hand that was covering his eye. I looked into his eyes and they were beautiful.

I closed my eyes and kissed him. I kissed him out where everyone could see us. Where we were in the autumn air. It felt like a movie.

"I love you Annie," he said caressing my cheek. I enjoyed his hand on my cheek. "I know. I love you," I softly said.

We starting walking back. I thought we weren't going to get back home, but we did.

"Is-is that Nick?" Brian asked pointing to where he was looking. I looked and it was.

He was..he was coming out of Madeline's house. They were talking and then they gave each other a hug.

Then Nick gave her a kiss on her cheek. Something I wouldn't believe without seeing it.
