Chapter 41

It was the last day of the Backstreet Boys tour. Brian told me they were going to work on new music. So they would go home after. He gave me a preview yesterday, but he didn't tell me anything else.

I sat there looking up at the hotel's ceiling. Madeline was still asleep next to me. I woke up early and couldn't go back to sleep. I wanted to go see Brian, but he was probably asleep.

I didn't want to wake up. After all he's been working hard. I went on my side and laid there. I began to think about Nathan. It made me sad, but I promised I wasn't going to waste my tears.

Minutes later my phone buzzed. It was Brian.

Brian ❤️💞: good morning beautiful ❤️ are you awake?

Me: good morning 😘 I am.

Brian ❤️💞: Care to come over? Please? 🙏

Me: I'm going 🥰

I got up and fixed my clothes. I realized so much has been happening that I still had the same clothes. I had to go shopping, right?

I quietly got out of the room and headed to my and Brian's room. Before I could knock Brian opened the door. "There she is," he said in his morning voice. It made my legs shake.

I went in, "here I am." Brian closed the door and put his arms around my waist. He kissed me good morning. Since he wasn't wearing a shirt I felt his warmth against my body.

"I missed you," he kissed my cheek. I smiled, "already?" He picked me up, "I have a right to miss you."

He took me to the bed and laid me down. I got inside the covers and so did Brian. He pulled me in to hug me. He felt so warm and smelled wonderful.

"Why don't you take off your sweater?" He tried to take if off. He stopped and began to look at it. "What is it?" I asked. "I just realized you've been wearing the same clothes. I'm sorry Annie.." he sounded upset.

I put a hand on his face, "It's ok you've been busy." I slowly kissed him. I could feel him smiling.

We laid there until he had to leave. He said after the afternoon's rehearsal he was going to take me and Madeline shopping. He wanted us to be the most beautiful at the concert tonight.

Brian went to rehearsal and I went with Madeline. We decided to take a walk and actually bring the bodyguard this time. His name was Matt. Madeline thought Brian's bodyguard was for us two. In a way it was..I guess.

Hours later Brian texted me that he was going to pick us up to get some clothes. We waited outside the hotel and sure enough the car pulled in front of us.

Nick opened the door wide and we got in. I sat next to Brian and Madeline sat next to Nick. I smiled at Brian and secretly touched his hand. He did the same. Brian told me and Madeline we had to get the best clothes.

The driver took us to a clothing shop and pulled in the back of the parking lot. Nick opened the door and hopped out. He helped Madeline out and was talking to her.

"Let's not make a scene love birds," whispered Aj as he got out. Then Kevin and last Howie. Brian gave me a small kiss on my cheek. "We will just have to wait won't we?" He whispered in my ear.

As we went clothes shopping there was just too many beautiful clothes to choose from. But after looking I saw the simple dress I had to have. It was a red color, kind of like a summer dress.

I thought it was beautiful so I got it. I also got a few other clothes. The boys also went to go look at clothes. At times I could feel Brian watching me.

Soon we were back at the hotel again and preparing for the concert. Brian didn't see me wearing this, but I was going to amaze him tonight.

Brian texted me he had to go and that we had to show our passes at the VIP area. It was already getting dark and me and Madeline were so excited. Madeline was head over heels because she could experience another backstreet boy concert.

Then the time came to go to the arena. Matt was with us and took us to the car. He drove because the other driver was with the other guys.

When we arrived to the arena there was already a full line at the entrance. "Aren't we VIP?" Madeline asked with a smirk.

After getting off Matt lead us to the VIP area. I could hear whispers around me just like I had before. I could hear the fans talking about me and saying if I was dating Brian. This time I ignored it.

When we got in we were led to the front of the place. This time we were closer than when Madeline got the tickets. It was good and bad. It was good because I could see them, but bad because hopefully he wouldn't see me.

"This is the best night yet!" Madeline said loudly.

The lights dimmed and the screaming began. Madeline began to scream like a lunatic. 'Larger than life' began with a small remix intro and then boom the boys were there.

All the fans near me began to raise their hands so they could touch them. I saw Brian looking at me. I smiled at him and he smiled with his eyes.

It was an amazing concert throughout. This time they brought an actual fan on stage. At times Brian would walk where we were and stay there. I loved it. I raised my hand and Brian got the signal. He touched other fans hands and then he touched mine.

It was like a slow motion moment. It was great.

"Before ending this night we want to bring out a special guest that wanted to be here," Kevin said.

A special guest?, I thought.

"Give it up for Nathan McGirk!" yelled Howie.

My heart pounded and I could see Brian's jaw clenching. What was Nathan doing here??
