Is it any wonder, I can't sleep?

All I have is all you gave to me

The weather stayed pretty good after summer break, so the four (and often, five, if Nemuri was around) were spending almost every waking minute on the rooftop. Any break we got and of course our lunch breaks were spent up there and I sometimes couldn't believe that no one got suspicious of us.

Or maybe everyone knew we were up here, despite it being not allowed and they were just not in the mood to give us even more detention. Maybe the teachers were getting bored of that whole detention thing with the four of us.

Right now I was hurrying upstairs towards the rooftop. I had gotten lunch in the cafeteria and was running late, because a teacher had stopped me on my way up to chat to me about something. I had no idea what about, because I wasn't even listening properly, I just wanted to move on as quickly as possible.

When I had finally made it up the stairs and opened the door, everyone was already there. Shouta was looking out over the city, his goggles hanging around his neck, while Oboro and Hizashi were lying on their backs, glancing up into the sky. Nemuri was sitting behind them, leaning against the wall.

"Hi guys, sorry I got held up a little. What's going on?" I wanted to know. Shouta turned around to me and gave me a little smile. He seemed exceptionally happy lately and I loved seeing him smile like this.

"Hey, we were just talking about our agency. It's gonna be lit!" Hizashi replied. I sat down on the ground beside them and started eating my lunch quickly, since that one teacher had already wasted half of my break.

"Yeah, they were talking about all the weird shit they want in the agency." Shouta added for context.

"It's not weird!" Hizashi protested, while Oboro nodded along. I raised an eyebrow and looked at Nemuri who just shrugged, as if she wasn't sure whether it was weird or not. So it probably was weird as hell.

"I'm saying we gotta have a rooftop space! Where else would we eat our meals?" Oboro explained.

"That's some weird logic." Nemuri muttered. To be honest, an agency with a rooftop space sounded pretty cool, so that would definitely be a big plus. If we somehow managed to get that.

"I want a soundproof studio where I can cut loose and really shout now and then." Hizashi added and laughed.

"Yeah, it'll have to be double soundproof or something. If that's even a thing." I said and rolled my eyes.

"What about you, Shouta? Any special must-haves for our dream agency?" Oboro asked. Shouta turned around again and looked like he was thinking about it for a while. Then he smiled.

"A cat tower?" he suggested.

"Ooh, so our agency will have a resident cat?" Hizashi asked. An agency cat was actually a very cute idea...

"I hear ya! You wanna make little Sushi feel welcome!" Oboro exclaimed. Shouta nodded solemnly.

"It would be irresponsible to foist him on Kayama forever. And I think the three of us can manage to raise a cat together... What do you say, Kayama?" he asked her, knowing exactly that Nemuri had gotten really attached to little Sushi. She looked completely shocked at the suggestion.

"I-I-I-I think... uh-huh. Okay. That's... the right thing to do." she said, clearly having difficulty even thinking about it. Poor Nemuri. I knew exactly how much she loved that little stray kitten.

Oboro and Hizashi burst out laughing when they saw her determined expression and Shouta and I joined in a little after. Of course we wouldn't take Sushi away from her if she didn't want to give him away again. And if she decided it was better to give him to us, she could always come and visit.

"Don't worry, Kayama, we're not that heartless." Oboro replied. There was a look of instant relief on Nemuri's face. I almost felt bad for making her think that we'd be taking Sushi back just like that.

"I was honestly a little worried there." she admitted and chuckled to herself. I shook my head and gave her a quick smile.

"Why would we do that? As long as you keep sending us cat pictures, there's no need to be worried." I replied.

"And what if I stop sending pictures?"

"Then we might have to break into your home and rescue little Sushi, since we won't know if he's still okay or not." I answered, to which Nemuri nodded in agreement. I wasn't even sure whether I was really joking or not, to be honest, but as long as Nemuri was in agreement, it would be fine, right?

"That seems fair to me." she said.

"You're weird, both of you." Hizashi muttered.

"No, no, no. Kayama could never be weird." Oboro protested vehemently, which made Shouta chuckle.

"Stop being such a simp, Oboro." he replied.

"Anyway, changing the topic. (F/N), what would you want in our agency?" Oboro asked. I had to really think about that. I wasn't sure what I wanted. I was happy as long as Shouta was there. And Hizashi and Oboro. As long as we had a roof over our heads and a little agency kitten.

"I would have said a cat, but since we already have that covered... I don't know... maybe something relaxing. A hot tub or something, that would be cool. So we can just unwind after a long day." I answered finally.

"Ooh, that sounds nice. I could do with some luxury, not gonna lie." Hizashi agreed with an enthusiastic nod.

"That's going to be expensive, though." Oboro said. I just shrugged, not sure why we were looking at money now.

"So is a building with a rooftop terrace. Or a soundproof studio. Not so much a cat tower, but vet bills are expensive, too." I replied.

"Yeah, you've got a point there. We're gonna need a lot of money for that." Hizashi agreed with a sigh.

"It's okay, guys. We'll just work a lot!" Oboro said.

"I don't think that's how capitalism works, man." Shouta answered. Oboro sighed and looked sad for a moment.

"Alright, so we'll have to start out small then. Maybe we can all share an apartment. Sure, we can squeeze, it was fine when it was me and Shou and (F/N) staying in a tiny one room apartment. I'm sure we can find something we can afford and live there for a few months to save up and then we can go bigger over time." Oboro suggested. That actually sounded like a fun plan.

"You know, surprisingly I wouldn't even mind that. That summer break was fun. Sure, it was a little cramped, but I could imagine living like that for maybe a few months. But only if Hizashi can learn to shut up, before moving in." I replied. Hizashi gave me a hurt look, before shaking his head in disappointment.

"Sorry, Zashi, but I agree." Oboro said.

"Hey, you like talking to me. You never want me to shut up. I would have expected this of Shou, but not of you, Oboro. I feel kinda betrayed right now." Hizashi replied, crossing his arms in front of his chest.

"Well, I'm sorry, Zashi. You know we all love you, but you do talk a lot and living together like that... dude, there are times we want to sleep." Oboro said. Shouta nodded quickly and energetically.

"Yes. There are times we want to sleep."

"I know, I know. I'm just kidding, guys. I promise, I can shut up sometimes. It's a rare occasion but it happens."
