I am one of those

Melodramatic fools

Neurotic to the bone

No doubt about it

"It's not fair." I heard Oboro panting as he came up beside me. We were training and had been told to run. The entire class. Right after the Sports Festival. It felt like going through hell, to be honest.

"What's not fair?" I asked him, already regretting it as my side started hurting. Fuck. This was bad, we weren't even halfway through the lesson. At this rate I wouldn't be able to make it through the entire lesson without collapsing halfway through. Usually I'd be able to run for this long, but for some reason today it was just bad. Maybe I was still too exhausted from the Festival.

During this year's Sports Festival none of us won anything. Again. But Hizashi and I got pretty far - Hizashi placed 4th and I made it to 7th. Oboro dropped out in the first round against Hizashi, but Hizashi managed to beat Sensoji and Shouta made it to the second round as well.

We also managed to beat Sensoji and Yuki during the Sports Festival, so it seemed we managed to reach our goal in that regard anyway. It felt pretty good at the time, but right now, I kind of wished I hadn't gone this hard. The migraine I had was barely gone and running around now didn't really help.

"It's not fair... that we have to run out here... when the third years... get to lounge around... over there..." Oboro replied. I raised my eyebrows and looked over to where the third years were training at the moment.

"You're just mad that your crush sees you all sweaty and out of breath and not the other way around." I said with a grin, which made Oboro blush just a little bit. So he was still head over heels with that girl in third year.

"I'm mad I can't stop and talk to her for a bit." Oboro muttered. I shook my head and laughed.

"As if you'd actually ever talk to her..." a voice next to me said. I turned my head and saw Shouta jogging up beside me.

"I totally would! Why wouldn't I?" Oboro protested.

"Where did you come from all of a sudden?" I wanted to know. I hadn't even noticed that he was behind me.

"I was just... keeping a good distance to you. You know... to observe..." he replied and grinned at Oboro, who gave him a confused look, but then started grinning as well, giving him a fist bump.

"What the fuck are you on about?" I asked, not sure what he meant. Oboro and Shouta were giggling.

"He's your boyfriend, (F/N). He was running behind you to observe..." Oboro repeated slowly. And that's when I finally got it. They were talking about my ass, weren't they? Fucking idiots.

"I hate you so much. Both of you." I muttered. Oboro cackled when he heard that and grinned at Shouta.

"Looking bad for you, dude. Looks like you're not getting any of that ass for a while." he commented. I glared at him and gave him a hard smack up the head, before looking back at Shouta.

"He's got a point, you know. At least don't make it this fucking obvious." I told him, while Oboro was groaning and holding the back of his head. He looked over at me and gave me a frown.

"That hurt, you know." he said. I rolled my eyes. It hadn't even been a hard smack, he was being dramatic.

"I didn't even hit you that hard!" I protested. Oboro shook his head theatrically and raised his chin with closed eyes.

"What if you did irreparable damage to my poor brain?" he asked. Shouta snorted with laughter.

"There's not much brain to do damage to." he replied. I nodded in agreement, because... well, Oboro really wasn't the brightest. At least not academically. When it came to life skills, he was better than all of us.

"What he said." I just muttered. God, the pain in my side got worse and worse the more I was talking. I needed a fucking break and I needed it right now. If I ran any more I'd collapse, I just knew it.

"You're so mean, both of you. I don't even know why I'm your friend." Oboro said, before almost stumbling over his own feet, as he still had his eyes closed for dramatic effect. Shouta and I looked at each other and burst out laughing. Oboro thankfully didn't fall, but his pride probably took a tumble.

"You okay there, dumbass?" Shouta asked with a smirk. Oboro huffed and then nodded, smiling at both of us.

"You might not have to worry about me being your friend for much longer, Oboro." I said with a sigh.

"Why's that?"

"I'm about to die from running and talking at the same time." I said, gasping for breath. This really wasn't going too well. Shit. Why did we have to prepare for the provisional licensing exam already? And why right after the Sports Festival? At this rate I was going to die, no doubt.

"Please don't die. I'd be kinda sad." Shouta replied. I gasped. Coming from Shouta that was pretty much a declaration of undying love. I grabbed Oboro's arm and squealed with excitement.

"Did you hear that, Oboro? My boyfriend's being super romantic! Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God. Of course I'll marry you, Shou!" I joked, as Oboro gave me a pensive look, tapping his chin.

"You know, with anyone else I'd be sure you're joking, but with Shou... I'm not even sure." he replied.

"You're both idiots. In a good way. Why don't you both shut up and focus on not being in pain for a change?" Shouta wanted to know. I rolled my eyes. As if he was in any less pain right now.

"Because that would be boring, Shou. I mean, we could do that..." I started, looking over at Oboro, who was grinning.

"... but we could also just dive into the bushes over there while Sensei's not looking and take a break." he finished my sentence. Shouta rolled his eyes and eyed up the bush, before glancing back at our teacher.

"We're gonna get caught, but fuck it. I'm too tired for this running bullshit." he exclaimed and dove into the greenery. Oboro and I looked at each other with a shocked expression, because...

"Shit, I didn't think we were being serious about that!" I yelled.

"Well, we can't just chicken out now!"

"Fuck! Let's do it!"

With a loud yelp Oboro and I dove into the bushes. The landing was less than pleasant, but at least we could take a breather for a little while. My legs were feeling like rubber and it felt like I couldn't possibly get enough air in my lungs to breathe properly. When I opened my eyes again, I saw Shouta looking down on me, a worried expression on his face. And to my surprise, Hizashi was here as well.

"Man, I was wondering when you guys would get here!" he exclaimed with a huge grin on his face. Oboro was lying beside him and he honestly looked like that jump had killed him. I propped myself up on my elbows.

"How long have you been in here?" I asked Hizashi. He just shrugged and helped me to sit up properly.

"I dunno, maybe round four or five? I'm just too wrecked, guys." Hizashi muttered, just when we heard a terrifying noise.

"YAMADA, AIZAWA, SHIRAKUMO, (L/N)! You're going to run these rounds again in detention after school today!" we heard our teacher shouting, which was answered with a collective groan from us.
