We don't need no thought control

No dark sarcasm in the classroom

I wished I could stay under the hot shower forever. It was Monday and we had PE during the last period and it was hell. What was even worse was that I knew exactly that I had to go to detention right now, when all I wanted to do was to go home and forget about the excruciating pain I was in.

The knowledge that I had gotten detention for trying to do the right thing was only a small comfort at this point. I sighed when the water started to turn colder. Looked like I had used up all the hot water that had been left.

"Hey, (F/N), how long are you gonna stay in there?" I heard Yuki shout. I groaned. I had hoped they had maybe already left or something and they weren't thinking of waiting for me. But of course they would. They were my friends. But if they knew that I was in detention and why I was in detention I wasn't so sure anymore. I was scared that they'd suddenly turn on me.

"Oh, you guys were waiting? I thought you had already left." I shouted back and quickly grabbed the towel to dry myself off. I wouldn't have time left to blow dry my hair at this point which was irritating.

"Why would we not wait for you, dummy?" Hideko asked as I walked out of the shower and started getting dressed in my school uniform.

"Oh, because I gotta stay longer for something. Don't worry about me and go ahead, I'll be staying behind for a good while." I told them.

"Oh, really? Why's that? You got in trouble or something?" Yuki wanted to know. She seemed quite taken aback by me staying at school late. I shook my head. Shit, how was I supposed to get out of this?

"Nah, just gonna do some work on that... that science project we got. I figured I'd find it easier to focus here instead of at home." I lied. We did have a science project, but obviously that's not why I was staying in the school late.

"Oh, okay then. See you tomorrow, (F/N)-chan." Yuki replied. She gave me a strange look and I knew she didn't buy it at all. I just hoped she wouldn't ask any further or find out somehow.

It was only a week. I could keep this under wraps for a week. It wouldn't be fun - not with hero training lurking around the corner every single day - but it would be doable. I was stubborn enough not to let detention break me. Aizawa better appreciate this whole thing. Not that I'd ever tell him.

"See you tomorrow, (F/N)-chan!" Hideko said to me with a friendlier expression on her face. I was glad that she at least didn't seem to distrust me that much. She was my longest friend after all.

"See you guys!" I replied with a wide (and faked) smile, waving at them as they were heading out of the changing rooms. I quickly gathered up my (H/C) hair and tied it together in a bun, hoping it wouldn't drip all over my clothes. I glanced at the clock and saw that I wasn't too late.

Grabbing my bag I made my way towards the classroom in which we had our detention. I opened the door and saw that Aizawa was already there. With him were Yamada and Shirakumo. There were also two older students, probably third years.

This was such a strange group of people, I suddenly felt very insecure. With my eyes on the ground I quickly walked into the room and made my way over to the other side of the classroom, as far away from anyone else as possible. I felt like everyone was watching me and it was terribly unnerving.

"Hey, aren't you in our class, too? (L/N), right?" someone suddenly called out. I looked over to the three boys from 1-A, my eyes probably looking really shocked. I hadn't really expected them to actually talk to me. When I turned towards them, I saw Shirakumo give me a wide smile.
